No its true , I even showed Maggo how to do it in cheating , so its true . Don't yall member hearing that the move was possible in the very early version of MK II ? Well , I made a sprite viewer cheat , that work sometimes , and found those sprites . Any other rumored to be true sprites in MKII thats just like Barakas hidden move can be listed here for me to try to get .

IIRC it was too overpowered/unbalanced so they removed it.

I thought the added moves for MKT were all scrapped MKII moves. MKT Johnny Cage, and the classic character's falling were the only new things filmed. I could be mistaken though.

And what about the running sprites for Baraka and Raiden? Were those refilmed?

My understanding is that they took the guy who played Cage in MKT and had him dress up as Raiden and Baraka to film their running poses and their poses for the versus screen.

I've just checked the animations in my MKT game.

MKI Kano/Raiden, and MKII Jax/Kung Lao's run is just their walking animation sped up. Remember how MKII Smoke "Ran"? They also fall like they did in MKI/II.

Baraka, and MKII Raiden run, and fall like the MK3 characters.


On the Vs screen:
- Raiden's face looks like someone else, not Carlos Pesina, and not the MKT Cage actor.
- MKI/II Raiden have the same vs sprite, MKI has MKII Raiden's smock painted white.
- Baraka's face is painted on.
- MKI Kano is MK3 Kano, with the red parts badly painted black
- MKII Jax is MK3 Jax with his pants painted red. They didn't even remove his bionic arms.
- MKII Kung Lao is MK3 Kung Lao, with his pants painted blue.

Right, I forgot Kung Lao's P1/P2 colors were switchen for MK3.

And I don't see why they would use someone else for the versus pose... but if I had to guess, I'd say it looks more like Michael O'Brien (Stryker). The nose is kind of the same.

But it would sort of be stupid to get him in to do a single shot, when they could have just had Chris Alexander (Cage) do it.

I wonder if Midway could just release the other "secret" sprites for the mk community. If they could release un-resized versions of the MKT sprites, that would be nice too

I doubt they still have them in the non-resized form. It's been 10 years.
