I'm not feeling it. In my opinion he needs some form of body protection, there would be no way he would be able to use his apparatus without any clothing on to support it. The skin looks way to dark, even though being burned, I don't think he would be that color.

Overall, I like it, I wish he had gloves or something and more hooksword view. Good shit with the mask and hair, you should have put the pigtails tho imo. Maybe you could redesign him in a full costume.

Agreed... I don't think fan art needs to stick to a strict representation of a character. This is Kabal, just with less clothes.... Which would be desirable on just about anyone other than Kabal, hehe.

I'm more drawn to the background than Kabal though, I like the colors and the simple, rough around the edges style. My issue is with Kabal's shape, but that is something perfected with practice and observation. All in all, a good work. Upon second glance, the image of just the trees is stronger than the image as a whole, though I definitely appreciate the effort put into this. Was this made in Paint or something similar? As a big user of pixel shading nonsense, I appreciate that.

You have to consider, the setting is night time, in which case his skin probably isn't dark enough.

It's definitely not a bad picture of Kabal, but I got to be honest, I don't like the way you drew his arms. Maybe it's all the swirls of the burns, but I get the impression his arms are not bent at the right places, giving me the illusion his arms are broken.
Also, he's holding his hooksword the wrong way; his fingers are wrapped around a blade instead of the handle. Perhaps it's a stylistic choice, but it makes about as much sense as running around with as few clothes and armour as possible when your respirator's a hollow tube on a shoulder strap.
It's an interesting picture, but the shirt-less look's not favourable on Kabal.

Fix up the skin and remove the mask and throw on some paint and this COULD be a cool Nightwolf costume.

If it wasn't for the mask I would have never guessed Kabal when looking at this. I probably would have even guessed "Freddy Stripping" first.

I have to say I really like it. I have to agree that some of the flesh colored pixels on his arms look a bit random, but overall i really love this piece. It really reminds me of DOS games! It looks like a shot from a DOS version of a MK RPG or Princess Tomato style game where u go around talking to characters lolol. My absolute favorite are the trees thogh. They look amazing, and considering im working with pixels right now playing w pokemon sprites, I realize how insane this pic really is! Amazing execution!!!

you have his mask and air supply good but where are his clothes? He looks really tribal. Me Kabal, me speed fast. I no have good projectile attack. I hooksword user. Me tribal Kabal. sorry for the insult, just trying to get my point across. No offense though.
