The arena is a nice alternative to the original bridge. I had to stare at it to notice and appreciate all the subtle changes you made (the floor, props, etc.). I like how you changed the backdrop/sky to make Earth look more transformed into Outworld. Adding the.... uh.... pterodactyls (?) helped with that. The trash can, however, looks a bit blurry. That's one of the downfalls of resizing things.

I'm glad you took on a manageable sprite editing task. Nothing too extreme to the point you got lazy and rushed them. I love the custom pose you did for Cage; I can just imagine that pompous prick laughing. You should try and animate that pose. It'd be great.

Things I found that look weird:
- The top of Liu Kang's "boot" before his pants begin.
- Cage's belt looks too flat/square and not rounded like it's wrapped around his body.
- Cage's sneakers look a bit blurry where you added the shoe laces

Aside from that, great work. The fatality isn't the most original, but who cares because this was a focus on sprite editing. That's not to say you didn't do good with the gore. The gore is excellent. The fatality just reminds me of that Motaro vs Kintaro series waaaaaaay too much.



EDIT: WOAAAAAAAAA... .wait a minute. Why the hell do I see in the life bars Liu Kang vs Johnny Cage?????

Good, but Cage should have the tattoo on his chest, i know that his arms are crossed but the top of it could just be shown

Sweet idea for a fake, and well-executed. I really dig Johnny's pose - a good mix of a couple of different sprites. The additions to Kang turned out really good too (especially his champ belt).

Brilliant gore effect on Shang Tsung. I think you made his skin more pale as well, right? If so, it's done to good effect.

All up it looks fantastic.

The more I look at this fake the more I like it. Especially the arena.



Nah that's his real skin color from the game.
