Character Concept: Ali Musah
A rough character design with a pencil sketch. I haven't thought about this character in much detail, ran out of time really, and I was bored. But let me know what u reckon anyway.
Name: Ali Musah
Age:32
Height: 6"1
Weight:??
Allignment: Neutral
Origin: Iraq, Earth
Weapon: Persian Sword
Rough Bio:
Fled Iraqs oppressive goverment several years ago, when he returned he discovered that Hussein's armies had slaughtered his family.
Ex Al-Qaeda terrorist.
Fought in the Iraq war.
Travelled various parts of the world, learning different martial arts styles.
Guilty of several national crimes.
Despises the western world, especially the Americans.
Fatality Concept: Sish Kebab. Musah inserts the sword up the rear and through the mid section of the body, twists the sword, then removes it with several of the victims vital organs attached to the sword like a kebab. Victim falls in a bloody heap.

I don't think it is a good idea to put "politically incorrect" characters into MK.
What I really find unusual, is that you portrayed the former Iraq regime as
opressive. That is a very one-sided aproach to Iraq and Saddam's regime.
The whole situation is much more sophisticated.

Ok I admit the term 'oppressive' is a bit strong, but once upon a time people were executed for things like treason in Iraq. As I said, Its a very rough concept and I haven't really had the time to go into much detail. I think a controversal character is just what MK needs tho :D
I take your point, but consider this:
since when did the majority of Iraq complain about it's leadership? Don't get me wrong, it's regime was opressive and terrible, but those people liked or lived it nevertheless.
Just see 9/11. What does america do? Ruina completely harmless count-ry with it's inavsionary forces. Sure, Saddam had "nukular" and biological weapons, yes, too bad it was only in the Iraq what existed in bush's head.
The concept altogether is very controversive, but I think you should dig yourself into classical arab myths to find something what could greatly implement the MK universe. Give more mysticism to the charater I suppose.

Yea your right in the sense that some Iraqi's preferred Saddam's goverment, I think most of the hate the new American influence. This character however didn't care for Saddam's regime.
The character does despise the American goverment as well, particularly because of the war. The whole nuclear weapons thing is still debatable.
But your suggestion about digging into arab myths, u know how much effort that takes? who u think i am? lol. But yea I see what u mean, like a prince of persia kind of character with magic and stuff.
I may even change his nationality, I don't know yet, gotta find the time to think about it properly.

Well, the character as you have him MIGHT work, provided you tied him into Kira's storyline somehow. (See Kira's MKD bio for more info.)
However, I don't know if I think that's a good idea; now this is coming from someone who made Outworld into a parody of Iraq in his Ogmorth comics, but I think that bringing MK into the real world with Al Quaida and 9/11 is not really a great idea. I kind of like that MK is its own little universe that's like an escape from the real world - even if there are some similarities in how events play out in the MK world that are like the real one.
