So I was on the Stan Winston website, looking through online classes, and one of the pictures that I found was this awesome version of Sektor. Not much else to say really. Just wanted to share it here.

The Stan Winston website? How does that work then, is this, like, concept art from ILM, like they did this for a project like Legacy or something and didn't use it? Or does the site just let users post 3d modelling fan art?

No, their website has online workshops and seminars that you can take. This one was one character rendering in Photoshop. Since this was one of the top pieces it was used as an advertisement on Facebook for the next time the class rolls around.

WHY MUST MAYA COST $3000? Ugh, I want to work on rendering so badly but I could never get into a class that could do that for me. Son of a bitch.

But I will say, I really do like what they did here.

Have you tried looking into 3D Studio Max?

I never heard of it. Is it the same as Maya in a way?

Yeah it's another 3D modeling program.

Yeah it's another 3D modeling program.

I get that, what I meant was, would it be easy for people who only use Maya to learn it in minutes or would we have to relearn a lot of things to use that program?

I think that depends on the person, but it wouldn't take you too long to learn 3DS Max. It's not like going from Maya to Zbrush for example.

Here's another cool one I found done in Zbrush.

Okay, cool.

That other picture you've posted is badass... I'm trying to make out all of the heads on Motaro. Obvious Sub-Zero and Scorpion are on him. I'm going to assume one other is Sindel, but I can't make out the other two... Unless they're just there for show. Otherwise, I'm really liking this picture a lot.

Lui Kang and Raiden. The headband and the rice hat help.

I didn't even see Raiden's hat there. I assumed that was Sindel. Meh, oh well. Still cool looking.
