Not sure if I like the blur effects, but the idea's one I've wanted to see for a while, so that's pretty cool. Not a big fan of the background you went with though, I find it too... I don't know, too space-like with the random bit of desert mountains, it just doesn't mesh well in my eyes.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work, I miss the fakes people used to make around here...

The background was supposed to have some type of fan fic story behind it being that after Cyrax got deserted by Sub-Zero in MK3, he manages to fall through some type of portal freeing him from the desert shown. He then gets revenge on Sub by power slamming him with his crazy cyborg strength and snapping his neck backwards.

Thanks for the feedback, and yeah I even agree that it looks pretty terrible. I was kinda just experimenting with effects and sprite editing. You should totally make some fakes bro.

Unfortunately this fake is such a messy blur of effects that I can't for the life of me understand what's going on.

Often, less is more. Less effects make for a more understandable visual.

I wish I could make fakes, it's too much of a hassle imo.

Great job though, would like to see more with updated stuff, lifebars/timer/darkened bg etc.

as for the fake itself, it just doesn't do it for me. It seems a little too copy-pasty at the moment, but keep up the good work, and improvement is sure to follow!

The life bars in your first one are awesome dude. And I love Undead Kombat, although I think a better contrasting background could really make those sprites pop out much better. I can't believe there are people like yourself that are always on mko no matter when I decide to come back. I remember you from yeeears ago

Exactly,the best thing in this forum was the fakes,period.But all the people that made fakes are almost gone now,sad but true.I made some garbage ones that will be posted anytime in a near future.

Most of my forum friends who made fakes are all grower up now and don't have time to make fakes. I've attempted many times to make a fake but I never finish it.

I made a BUNCH of sprite edits for MUGEN but since my hard drive crashed I never wanted to start over from scratch. I made a thread with some recreated sprites but that got boring and time consuming.

Illusion is still around, but he's more of an animator.

VenoMark is still around pretending to be some one else... but I can't say why he isn't making fakes anymore. Maybe because he's a trash talking bitch? I don't know. Oh,hi veno! Tell your fake girlfriend hello for me. Just don't go passing around porn pictures and claim it's her again.
