There is no way MK vs. DC can inspire anyone to come out with art. Fake pics are going to be looking even more fake then what the ideal really is.

I joined and got involved in the Internet community not for cheat codes, music or porn, it was because of Mortal Kombat and I saw Fan Art as something I would like to get involved with.

I met so many people along the way and i've seen it come and i've seen them go. (mk5.org, mkitensive, mkroK, mkwarehouse, mkodyssey).

I learned and matured so much throughout the years because I fucking love the game of Mortal Kombat. I met people who I can consider "friends" because of Mortal Kombat and Fan Art.

Fan Art has always been my passion but MK vs. DC completely killed my motivation and I would not be surprise if it killed everyone else’s too.

At least we'll have new costumes/stages to sprite... Crossovers were common in comics, but fakes seem a bit tacky.

The contest kinda revived the scene for a few days, lol. IMO there's too much emphasis on Photoshop effects, and shit. MK fakes don't look like MK, they look like Mugen or some shit. I try to keep it oldschool, but I feel... I don't know. This isn't as fun or whatever as it used to be.

My inspiration comes, and goes as it is. I'm working on... or rather I want to work on a: Feudal Realms, b: A new series idea, c: work on my sprite WIPs.
Motivation has always been my problem. Right now, I'm pondering wether to continue FR or reboot the series. By making it up as I go (following a vague plotline/storyboard), I've left out things or left stuf unexplained. Nobody's said anything though.

And I completely agree with Tetra Vega. A lot of MK Fakes look just way too fake and ''pretty'', with huge effects and glows. It's a lot harder to make them look realistic.

And I always thought fakes weren't supposed to LOOK like fakes.

That's how I always saw it... but I changed my style because I got so much bashing, from our lovely friend VenoMark, that I didn't edit enough. (and then why I did, it suddenly became his artwork some how).

So calm the fuck down , please... Tbh, i think the game is gonna be pretty good. It ain't my fault, but people are prob still gonna make Fakes. Why would a simple game effect EVERYONE? It isn't effecting me!

Since when does a bunch of superheroes in spandex have to do with Mortal Kombat? That's why I hate the whole idea of MK vs. DC. It's utterly the most stupidest idea i've ever heard. People who make MUGEN project have a better chance of making their own version of MK8 and how it should be. And to be honest with you, I probably won't see a difference if this game where to affect you or not because I don't recall ever seeing any of your art.

I'm still on the fence with MK8. I'll wait until I get some more information on it to see if I'm going to just bypass it completely. My initial reaction was, "burn it to the ground before it gets started" though.

First one... as much as I admire your abilities... I have to stand by what I said about not liking you straying away from the MK Style. But it's definitely a good thing to develope your own stype. Very nice skill.
