I just fell in love with his noobsaibot / sareena one!
I tried going back to the original art style of MK in this fake. I didn't want anything looking too crazy.

Fucking awesome background. Good job with changing the colors to match your portal and its lighting. HOWEVER the blue on the pit platform does not match at all. And how the hell did you miss those white pixels on the edges???!! I know I miss things in my fakes but fuck, that is such a major eye sore that I don't understand how you missed it.
The fatality itself is a great idea. Good use of sprite poses to execute your idea. The ice effects on Liu Kang's legs look like shit. I know, it's from the game... but that doesn't mean it looks good. It also gives you no excuse not to edit it to make it look better. You can do all that and still have it look legit.
That rope has got to go... it really destroys your fake because it just looks so shitty. It doesn't look like a real rope at all. The (mace?) end of the kusarigama (sp?) looks goofy as hell (again maybe its the rope's fault) and the sickle end of the weapon is tooooo fucking huge. I like how you drew your own blood on the weapon and Liu Kang, but honestly, it's garbage compared to the blood you did on Skarlet's fake. I like how he's spitting out blood from his mouth though. I loved that about your previous fake too. It actually looks better this time and not so blurry.
You should have smoothed out the pants on Sub-Zero because I can see all the crappy pixels on the shaded region. Again, it is your fault for not fixing the poor GIF quality from the MKW.
The life bars look pretty gay and this time you completely forgot the Win count which defeats the purpose of a fake (to trick your viewers). The timer looks out of place because of the ugly life bar arrangement. When you add life bars you have to ask yourself "do they compliment the fake or ruin it?" and it's best for the picture's sake to leave it out despite my previous remark about the purpose of a fake.
Saizero. Take a deep breath... calm down. Try again but on a different fake idea. Don't redo this one like you've been doing. Ask for ideas suggestions before executing. Veno, Me, and I'm sure MKR, are more than happy to help via PM.

The pulling from Smoke and Sub-Zero is not convincing, especially Sub-Zero.

Not really impressed when I compare this to your other work. But it's not bad though, it's just the overall execution is not convincing. As pointed out, the grip on the rope seems a bit, "meh." This is what I would've done...
Edit a Zero sprite to make it appear he's freezing Lui Kang lower body. This would work with editing.
And then have Smoke pulling the shank towards him. Something like this that would illustrate the effect:
I like the Portal, but everything doesn't blend as BlackSaibot pointed out. No wins? No smoke effect around Smoke?
Listen, keep it going. The editing on Kang chest is brutal. That's something I was focusing on my Sonya fake.
I wouldn't be much of a role model in teaching you animations. Am still using Adobe ImageReady 7.0. You know, the one that comes with Photoshop 7.0. And there's already Photoshop CS 1938738728 so am old school to the max. However, don't be discourage. I would love to make your fake as an animation. I still want to keep my promise of redoing an animation BlackSaibot made and the one he just recently made could be better too. Sooooo...send me your stuff, the sprites, the layers, background, everything so I can put it together in my vision. Am going to try to work on it as soon as my schedule stops being so wack (split days off, really?) but yeah.

I feel like people have covered most things that are bothersome, but here's some pointers..
If you would have just mirrored Sub-Zero I feel like it would have made the pulling/ripping motion at least more believable.
Use more contrasting gray/blacks/whites for making metallic objects... Currently what you're creating looks like a plastic toy.
Your blood needs a deeper palette, it seems too bland too me. Use a black on a low opacity to add some contrast between the reds.
Also, the lower half of Kang's body's skin colors is off, looks too yellow? My recommendation is to use an existing sprite and cut it to what you want to achieve the most believable skin tones if you cannot mimic them accurately enough.
The rope seems like it is screen capped from an anime, not realistic enough. In the future for rope, I suggest using the rope from the bell tower. It's effective if you can't replicate an appropriate looking rope.
Here's an example.. I got bored and wanted to make some form of example. Did this is in roughly 15 minutes to at least give you the idea of what I mean. P.S. I hate ropes.

I love this. This a double-team, "tag fatality" isn't it? If these were in the games, they would be much, much better. Overall, very nice, and I think it needs no fixing ^^
