Fake Picture Kontest: Head-to-Head Edition

As suggested by a pair of regular MKOnline users, I will be hosting a head-to-head competition between two of the most artistically-endowed fake picture artists to have ever graced this forum with their presence. Without further delay, here are the stipulations:
1) Each character portrayed in the entry must be of MK origin. That is to
say that no original characters will be accepted.
2) Although original characters are prohibited, the background itself can
be original, or a simple 2D rendition of one of the 3D environments
from titles MK4-MK9.
3) Your victorious character must be performing a fatality of your own
creation on his or her opponent.
4) No animations or multi-frame entries will be accepted.
5) You have until Thursday, January 3rd, at midnight (Eastern Time) to
submit your entries.
To avoid favoritism on behalf of either entrant, both contestants will remain anonymous until the conclusion of the voting process. With that said, I bid an impartial "Good luck" to both contestants and may the best entry win!

Wait, what? This is not open to the public

Now I'm confused. "Head-to-head" is just another way of saying "one-on-one", chief. No, this is not an open competition and the pair of entrants have already been decided. Sorry to disappoint you if an open competition was what you were expecting.

It feels like no contest even exists.
The thread alone seems thrown together, and there seems to have been little to no preparation for this contest, especially for the voting community (if anything, they should have chosen the contestants). Also, the contestants being anonymous is odd, becaus they don't have to be, only the entries do.
Overall, It seems more like a batch of ideas than an actual competition. But maybe it's just me. I gotta get ready for work.

For the sake of the mentally impaired, I repeat: It was requested by two specific users that I host this; the guidelines were merely suggested to me (wherein I could make amendments where I saw fit). It was also requested by the entrants that their usernames remain anonymous so as to avoid any bias once the voting period begins. Given that this area of the site isn't exactly teeming with traffic of late and that this contest was fashioned at the request of two users, it wouldn't be very fruitful by any means to wait for a small number of users to choose who would be facing off.
Following the conclusion of the KAK, I'm willing to and will probably host similar head-to-head competitions. I've already got a few match-ups in mind; it's just a matter of ensuring that those users are still active at that time.
You clearly aren't familiar with how the FPK works, so step back and do a little research in that regard until you've gained some semblance of familiarity. Until then, keep your personal misconceptions to yourself (or in PM), because you're just wasting my time. That is all.

Please don't. You obviously don't have what it takes to properly host one, especially after this debacle.

Considering the nature of this kontest, he did exactly what he was supposed to do. Now please, stop trying to find ways to piss him off.
Contribute by posting art, critiquing art, assisting in events, or just leave for good.
I was stupid enough to listen to saiZero by trying to be nice to you, but you LOOK for trouble.

Don't worry; I'm not going to be disheartened by anyone's prejudiced treatment or biased opinions, since there is usually an agenda formed prior to the instigation of such dimwitted behavior.
Seeing as how I was the one who fashioned the very first FPK and introduced that sort of competition to the community, I have every right to continue expanding upon it as I see fit. Though Mobster4Christ played the role of host during MKOnline's first FPK, the stipulations and the format were of my volition and mine alone.
Like I always say: Haters are gonna hate. Thanks for your assistance in keeping this thread near the top of this forum, though.

I take it, we get to start voting Friday? I don't want to wait an entire week like when Sekktor ran this joint.
How do we know that the contestants won't be voting for themselves (but then again their two votes would void each other out, so never mind).

Yeah, voting will take place Friday--by noon (Eastern time) at the latest. Barring unforeseen circumstances, I won't be delaying this any longer than necessary. Voting ends next Thursday, January 10th, at noon.

If the entrants feel so inclined as to vote for their own submission, then so be it. Personally, I'd rather that they simply critique both entries and refrain from voting. Though, as you mentioned, it really wouldn't have much of an effect on voting given that they'd both be voting for their own submission. Though, I'd expect them to practice some discretion and vote based not on the personal agenda of ensuring victory, but on the idea of which entry truly is better.
