Hmm, can you give me an example of what you mean? Due to someone's laziness, the Rating Points and the Thread Points images are exactly the same, so it can get confusing as to what they mean. I can probably explain to you what the issue is if you show me, though :)

Well, some give 5/5. So that means full point, doesn't it. Well, can't give you a direct example. But you'll sure will notice if you just pick any fan art. Sometimes you see it then a very bad drawn pic or just some copy/paste or some poor coloring job. And then just because it's that certain person, it get high dragon points, even if it got some bad critics.

Ok, that's what I thought you were referring to. ^_^ Every fan art submission receives 2 Dragon Points to the submitter/author/artist, which go to their rank rating (Mortal, Warrior, etc.). It used to be 1 point, but that's since changed.

Now, as for when people do the "OMFG I Gave you 5/5 man k have my baby cuz I'm cool :D"

The site masters were too lazy to make a different set of icons for that.
So, the Dragon Points YOU give to a piece of art have no affect on the artist's ranking, it's just how popular the piece of art is. Confusing and misleading, yes, but it doesn't count towards their rank, so think little of it and vote how you feel appropriate. :)
