Please help me!! I am doing something wrong. I paste a background in to an MS Paint Window, then it works out fine. But then, there is a problem: Whenever I try pasting a sprite IN TO an M.K. Background, I get this FUCKING ANNOYING white square around the sprite. I call out to those who use M.S. Paint for their comics, as I use it instead of Photoshop, because it's easier.

But it's better if you don't use white as the transparency color.

Ryan, you should read the Sprite Comic Tutorial Sticky thread at the top of the page. It helped me out loads.

I read it on The Kombat Pavilion, but I never saw the transparencies part.

Hmm... Here's a mini tutorial.
Look at this picture.

Notice the "pink" background and that there is pink on the bottom left of the picture. The color that is in the bottom left of the picture, becomes transparent along with everything else with that color. So in other words, everything pink in the picture disappears.

Now look at this picture.

Notice how the bottom left spot is part of Sub Zero's leg. It's black. This way, when you use this sprite, the pink background will still be there, but everything black in the picture will be gone.

Bottomline, you should always put in the bottom left spot with the color you want transparent(try not to make it a color that is used in the sprite. In this example, don't use blue because Sub Zero is basically "blue" so many parts of him will vanish).

Here is a mini tutorial of the other kind of transparency in paint.
Look at this picture.

I have copied the Sub Zero and tried to put him above the other one. As you can see, the white background is taking away parts from the original Sub Zero. Notice on the left that a button is pressed.(the one marked with a red circle) With this button pressed, the secondary color you have chosen in paint(the "right click"-color) will not be transparent.

Now, take a look at this picture.

Notice how the white background is now gone, with the button below(the one marked with a red circle)? That button makes your secondary color transparent. In this case, my secondary color was white, so it's now gone, and it's not blocking the original Sub Zero.

Bottomline, when the lower button is pressed, your secondary color(rightclick-color) will be transparent. When the upper button is pressed, the picture shows just as you copied it.

I hope this helps.
