THE STIPULATIONS:
1) The characters involved in each entry must have had an established
rivalry in the Mortal Kombat series. This can include rivalries from the
first installment in the series until the last (MK 2011).
2) One kombatant must be performing a fatality on his or her opponent.
Try to be creative!
3) The background must be an original creation. To elaborate, the
background cannot be a 2D variant of an arena from any of the 3D titles
(MK4-MK 2011).
4) All special effects and props are to be of either your own creation or
borrowed from any of the 2D MK titles (MK1-UMK3/MKT), including MKM:
Sub-Zero. The entrants are prohibited from borrowing special effects
and/or props from outside sources (i.e., Google Images, DeviantArt,
and so on).
5) All elements in the entry must be in 2D form. That is to say that the
entrants are prohibited from borrowing from and/or resizing elements
from the aforementioned 3D MK installments. However, the entrants
are permitted (and even encouraged) to create and put to use their own
special effects and props.
As with the previous FPK: Head-to-Head Edtion, the entrants will remain anonymous until the winner is declared. Entrants have until midnight on Saturday, January 19th, to submit their entries. Voting begins at noon on Sunday, January 20th.
Good luck to both of you, and may the best artist win!

Again? Oh shit, son... you got a whole bracket of 1v1s lined up for us?
Here I thought we (saizero and myself) were the only ones.

I'd like to say that I do have boatloads of head-to-head match-ups arranged, but the fact of the matter is that there are only a select few worthy of being recruited. I try to find the most experienced, most talented artists to set against one another, so the pickings are relatively slim.
I suppose that if I was desperate, I could scrape the bottom of the barrel and (with some convincing) procure the likes of UltimateRyu and Zentile. Then again, it's probably best that I don't enlist the artistically challenged. I am trying to inject life back into the fake picture industry, after all; not suck the life from it.

Back on topic: Is there any special voting criteria since there are so many stipulations or are we just picking the best overall. Because sometimes people have the best custom BGs while others have the best sprites and fatality idea.

The only recommendation that I'd make to voters is that they vote for the image with the best overall quality in terms of originality in both the background and the fatality while not losing sight of the rivalry-based stipulation. As long as voters read and understand the guidelines, there shouldn't be any reason for confusion.
