Now THIS is a good fake.

I really can't think of many things wrong with it, but here's my analysis.

Bad points:
Probably little picky things, like the screen not being darkened, and the sprite is a little sloppy in places.

Good points:
Practically everything. The blood effects are great, it's a good fatality idea, you've included shadows, great lifebars, name font and winning marks.

4.5/5 Dragons.

ok this looks pretty good, i like the sprite edit on Lui Kang, and i also like all of your items life bars, timer ect, those are very nice. Geshiro could use some shading on his costume it looks to bland, and his head seems a little off center to me, but nice job 3.5/5

That is some nice editing everything is perfect on my opinion the only think I don't like is the timer and the texts it reminds me of NengoneNs texts.

Hmm... well this is pretty nice, but some areas could use some improvement. Your lifebar setup is pretty cool, though I don't like transparent lifebars all that much. Your timer is sort of odd... I think it would have been better without that 'oval' encasing it. The 'WINS' texts are pretty nice looking though, I like those. Their size is good, and they're well placed as well. The win token are interesting, it sort of reminds me of a Pheonix, the shape of the icons inside are sort of 'bird-like' and with the fire like colors that was my first thought. The names text is alright, though I'd like it more if it were closer to the lifebars, it just seems to far down in the fake as is. The shadows are there, always a good thing.

Your custom sprite has some good points, but then again some parts of it could use a bit of work. I do like the 'spikes' on his legs and arms, they seem to blend with the suit quite nicely. The shinguards are good, they do seem attached properly, and look as though they 'wrap-around' the legs. But on his right leg, I believe the color transition is too sharp. The gray changes from a medium gray to a dark gray to quickly. If its a shadow, it really doesn't seem to have been placed correctly. If its just darkening of the suit, then you should do it at a slower rate. Uses colors whos hues differ only slightly, and work toward that darker color. The belt isn't quite as nice as the shinguards, it doesn't have as good of an 'attached' feel to it. Its still pretty nice though, and fits this character well overall. You did add that strap across his chest, but still the chest itself looks quite dull. But then again, I believe it was in your intentions to keep it simple here, as this character reminds me of a true classic ninja, like perhaps from a Ninja Gaiden type game. I actually would have liked it alot, but that strap should have been placed at more of an angle I think. The weapon he is carrying on his back begins right where the strap is, and it makes it look odd. If the strap were just a bit closer to his shoulder it would have been cool. The head is done okay, it seems sort of oversized to me, but the angle seems right. Overall I do like your sprite edit, like I said it reminds me alot of what I'd call a true stealth type ninja.

The Liu Kang edit has its good and bad points. I like the smoke, its not overpowering and you used a perfect amount I think. The position of the sprite is also very nice, it looks like he's falling back. The thing I think you should work on is the blood though. The 'streams' seem too thin, and lack depth in colors. It would have been safe to use somewhat more blood, it seems sort of lacking, which could again be from the thin lines. This is a pretty nice fake, you did a nice job editing for the most part, good job.
