Oh man, I'm sorry!!!

I forgot to mention with these animations -

Big thanks to Murdoink....I got most (if not all) of the sprites from his site, which rules.

Very cool!

Your animations are really sweet, the one thing I would change about them is to use their actual victory poses from MKII.

See ya,

The ones you have done so far I like alot, the only thing I see wrong with this one is,how sub zero just stays in that wierd position for the end, thats the only thing you need to change.

I'm sorry, but it's crap. There are no ''showing up'' effects for the victory text or anything, it defenetely doesn't get any creativity points, even for a remake, a bit of creativity would be welcome, the blood effects aren't exactly original or any good, the death just happens way too fast, the skeleton is standing still even though it just got violently ripped from it's skin and flesh, the winning pose...isn't the winning pose.
The only reason why it's not ''absolute crap'' is because the animation is nice and fluid (until Sub-Zero rips the skeleton off, anyway), but that's just because you got all the sprites the easy way at the warehouse, but at least you admit that.
Also, I can tell you put a good share of dedication into it, since the character's aren't constantly changing position, etc, and that's a mistake many rookies make.

So, I honestly don't like this ani at all, but I DO think you should try to make more and get better at it, I think you have potential. Don't be offended by this review, I'm just being honest.

thanks man, I do appreciate the honest answer.

my reply to it is that it's just an animation, I'm not going to go in and have everybody's eyes blink every 5 seconds, I'm not going to have breath motions, I'm not going to make hair move...it's an animation...it's supposed to be cheesy, it's supposed to be very simple and yet still portray the idea, and maybe even sometimes funny or stupid. On the subject of the appearing affects for "Finish Him" and "Fatality" and all that...what does that matter? I could go in and do absolutely everything, but then there'd be 100's of frames, WAY too much time spent on it, and if TOO much detail is put in, it'd end up looking like crap. There's also no sound...big deal. It's a rinky dink funny little animation. I don't think I've ever really seen anybody go as detailed as you say unless they go and do it in flash (which I did not do, seen as how it's a .gif).

As far as the poses...I was attempting to make the actual MKDA poses, not the MKII poses. Sub-Zero looks down and slams the skeleton down, and then just leaves his arms down and looks at the "camera". His head happens to be back a little bit in the MKII version, but hey, take it as "yo, sup? I just killed this mug."

hmmm... you have a point about not doing the text effects in flash... I'm sure Flash Crash did it, though. And I'm sure others have, aswell.

And believe me, I'm not being picky. Of course you wont make them blink, breath or have their hair waving, because you can't, unless you'd undergo some rough sprite editing, which is not what I'm requesting at all. If I were REALLY picky, I'd complain about the shadows- they aren't there.
You could, however, make Cage's skeleton good looking, and not stiff, with the 'soul skeleton' from Shang Tsung' fatality.

But I'm glad you didn't take the review the wrong way and start flaming about, like many do. Keep making these animations, and keep getting better at them.
