Help with animated Gifs...

I'm using GIMP... which I think is close to photoshop...
Anyway, I want to make a transparent animated gif. The problem is, when I put the next layer in... the layer bfore that is still visible underneath... so instead of replacing one another they superpose one another...
anyone have a clue how I can make it transparent and still make it replace the layer below? Or am I doin the whole thing wrong?!?!sad

Although I'm not too familiar with Gimp, it might help if you post a sample of your animated GIF so we can see what it's doing exactly.

i think you should either download or buy a program called Macromedia Flash MX 2004 that is the best program for animations

Just download the trial (Its a long enough trial that you can use it good enough). If you don't want to deal with the complexities of flash. Just look up "GIMP turtorials" on a search engine.
