I mean in drawing talent?
I probably would put this question in my thread about artist advice, but this is more of a history thing than advice.
To all the good artists here, how did you learn to draw good? Was it drawing from life, books, the internet, self-education, what?
Now this isn't restricted to only the noteworthy artists here, but the purpose here is that you tell your story in the hobby of drawing.
By the way, while I'm talking, what is an MK5.org OG?

Practice, probably. Observing others is good, too.
The Original Gangsters. I think they were created by a group that saw no need for the uprising of all of the other stupid cliques, so they made their own. Ask Illusion. I think he made them.

The OG's were created by Jimbo, who's purpose was to be with "The Other MK5.Org Groups" since in that time it was bit silly since everybody was creating this multiple/random bs groups. Sooner or later I took over but my purpose was the OG's to be a "Fan Art" group that know what they're talking about when it comes to giving criticism. MaxDam, TimsmK, Blacksaibota nd me were in it. Now, blacksaibot has taken over since nobody is longer interested and his "Luv" with Agent47 (Hitman)
. I already belong to an old school clan called "The Eternal Order of the JES" which existed in TRMK. That's why i'm no longer an OG. Th0ze wer teh dayz

Well, I haven't posted any art here, but I do draw quite a bit... lack of scanner and all that (when I get one I'll probably disgrace myself by presenting my stuff for you guy's approval)
I learned to draw almost entirely on my own. I've taken art courses, and am planning on pursuing art in college, but really, classes only teach you so much. You have to want to do stuff on your own if you want to progress... I usually like to draw from life or from photographs, at least as far as getting anatomical details down. Drawing from others drawings is fun and helps you get a feel for subtle "stylistic nuances", but IMO, concrete knowledge of how to draw realisticly comes first. If you know how something's suppossed to look, then you can mess around with it as much as you want and it'll still come out looking good.
But the main thing is practice. Practice, practice, practice. Just draw, dammit. A lot. It's like playing an instrument... no matter how seriously you take it at first, or how much "natural talent" you have, you won't see real results unless you're willing to spend time at it! Practice, practice, practice... I guess, for me, I'd have to say all those long hours drawing in class when I should've been taking notes...

Well, I've been drawing self-taught since I was about 5 or so.
From there, I suppose comics had a lot to do with shaping my style of Artwork and the School of Art course I took helped out a bunch as well.
Practice is the number one factor though.
I find when I've not been drawing for awhile I'm quite rusty, and I hate that.
