Is it possible in either application to rotate and image without it getting blurred? I have put up with it for years but it is finally getting to annoy me.

I usually rotate an image, then apply sharpening to it to restore some of the crispness but it just doesn't look right.

There has to be a way or clean rotation but I can't work it out.

Well I only use PSP7 but have Photoshop. I tried it in Photoshop as I couldn't work out how to get around it in PSP7 but had the same problem.

I don't know about PSP/photoshop but if you have Corel draw, you can try importing the bitmap, (onto a rectangle that you can move around, scale and rotate- i think you can also pull the edges around and it maps it like you're seeing a rectangle in perspective!) Rotate it, then export a bitmap- it does anti-alising for you.

I get the impression that PSP has some vector tools in it, so maybe you can do this in that too.

oh i just read that you have managed to do it but it blurs a bit. Perhaps you could try rotating an image with much higher resolution than you intend to finish with, and reducing it later.

That is an idea but it could throw my scale out.

I don't understand why it does it. As you rotate it is is perfect. It just just when you apply it anti-aliase's it for no good reason. Perhaps it does look ok at higher resolution but it looks terrible on MK sprites.

if it looks perfect as you are rotating, then perhaps there's an option to turn off the blurring. Alternatively, you could just use 'print screen' while it looks good.
