You're right, I can tell the scanner didn't seem to pick up this image good at all. I can't really tell what that 'substance' is bordering the sketch, I am guessing water or maybe smoke? Anyway, its a bit difficult to critique something when the fault may be to the scanner, and not to the artist. The critique isn't as accurate as it could be is what I mean, but...

The head looks ok, but the jaw appears to be a little to wide, and sort of pointed on the right side. The teeth were done very well though from what I can tell. The body seems to be in basically good proportion, considering parts of his arms cannot be seen. The spikes on top his shoulders are not so bad, but the plate beneath them needs some sort of texture to make it appear the spikes are attached to something. The chest piece was dont pretty well, though its a bit lacking in design, but its still pretty good. The legs seem to be a bit too small though from what we can see of them, the top arms seem to be bigger, and one would think legs will always be wider than arms. Its not bad though, nice to see a Kintaro sketch every so often.

well, from what i can see, it looks kinda cool, but since i can't see jack shit, i wont rank it or comment on it. try rescanning it a few times after tweaking your scanners settings.
