Apparantly this wasn't up to par as a fan submission so I'm just posting it with the common threads and hopefully it gets a few decent reviews.

The good thing about this is, I get to do the back story behind each character!



The arena is called Kahn's Chambers. It is supposed to be an area where Shao Kahn can go to relax and look over the Wastelands of Outworld through a window designed around the features of his helmet. Originally the floor was supposed to be black slate instead of blue, but a compromise had to be made so that Nareesa would actually show up :) The original image looked like this.



Nareesa is the result of me attempting to make a female wraith along the lines of Noob Saibot while also adding touches of Seleen from Underworld. It wasn’t until after I named her that I realized her name was so close to Sareena’s.

Nareesa’s back-story: Upon her decent into the Nether Realm, Frost awoke reborn as Nareesa, with an insatiable appetite for revenge against her former master, Sub-Zero. Not long after she came to, a vaguely familiar warrior came out of the shadows to take her under his wing. Both had what seemed an innate hatred for the Lin Kuei master and together, with the new techniques taught to her by Noob Saibot, this new master and pupil team would use the strengths of the Nether Realm to finally destroy their foe once and for all.

Reikon-Suri (meaning soul stealer) was a much harder idea to come up with. In the end I don’t really know how I came across the idea, but I definitely liked the outcome. The aim of his attack is that he can summon souls from dead warriors, but cannot contain them like Shang Tsung can. Instead, he uses them to form blasts of energy and other physical attacks instead of using his own chi during fights.

Reikon-Suri’s back-story: Reikon-Suri was born with a destiny. From the moment of his conception, he was a planned gift to the Emperor, Shao Kahn, as a sign of fealty from his home village. Kahn, having no use for an infant gave the child to his lead sorcerer, Shang Tsung to raise and mold as a member of his Shadow Priests. Reikon took to the arts of both kombat and sorcery with ease, even learning the skill of soul transmutation from Shang Tsung himself. Soon, Reikon’s abilities would far surpass those of the other Shadow Priests and he was promoted to second in command over Kahn’s arcane affairs, directly below Tsung. Some say that while his abilities as a sorcerer do not compare to Tsung’s, his aptitude for hand-to-hand kombat best that of even General Reiko’s.

Unfortunetely, this is my last fake for awhile. I'm working on a fake in MS Paint, and wish it to look acceptable. So the editing coupled with lack of interest at the moment, is taking me forever to finish my next project.
