This one was basically just for me to test some stuff out, but decided it was better than anything I've seen here in a while, so what the hell:

The blood is not whole. Blood doesn't spray unless you play MK:SM.
There is no lifebars, they are not required though. So I won't mark you for that. Shadows are missing. (Damn you Noob Saibot!)
And, the sprites aren't really edited. Kung Lao changed his pants and Johnny is getting sliced while standing up. Blood is partially spattered on the characters and Johnny's shin was badly edited. You tried to make is pant cut and it looks blurry. Decent fake.
So, that adds up to 3/5

You're right about the blood... But lets just say this is an MKSM Fatality.
Lifebars don't show in Fatalities. And you can't see shadows, because the screen is darkened.
And yes, I know they aren't, I was just testing some stuff out.
Thank you.

Well, the MKSM thing was sort of a joke, and I thought the lifebars/shadow/Fatality thing was obvious. And I did say I was just testing some stuff...
But whatever.

not bad, shadows needed, this could be a deadly aliance fatality if you strech the imagionation, so the life bars leave the screen, blood is cool but it dosen't spray like that in normal sercumstances. my spelling sucks, but that really isn't your fault lol. 3.9/5

Eh, I really should have made the background darker. I thought everyone knew that lifebars and shadows went away during a Fatality. But thank you.

That all depends on what game you're emulating. In MKDA, MKD and MKA the lifebars move off of the screen but the shadows do stick around. From MK - UMK3 the lifebars stay put (on most fatalities) and the shadows disappear once the fatality starts. The exceptions are Liu Kang's MKII Dragon, MKII's Pit fatality, Smoke's UMK3 World Annihilation and Scorpion's UMK3 Hell fatality.
But back to the subject matter at hand.
There are some parts that look really good, and others that don't.
The thing that stands out most for not being right is the cut on Cage's chest. It runs along his mid line, but his belt never got cut. It kind of sticks out there like a sore thumb. The cut should have stayed along the same line the entire length (you should have cut part of his leg off too) of the sprite.
The blood on Cage's leg looks really off. It's desaturated too much for one, also, liquids on black cloth only tend to make the black cloth shiny. Most don't change the color of the cloth unless they aren't absorbed by it (really viscous).
You did do a pretty good job of gluing together a few sprites to get a better effect than using a standard sprite. I'm guessing you did edit the part of Johnny that isn't attached anymore. I am slightly disappointed that you did use factory gore for the cut though. I never liked the bones in that fatality. They always looked purplish to me.
The glare on the hat is a nice touch, not overdone
I am still trying to figure out what you were testing on this one, other than maybe the blood effect. Unless you were trying out blending pieces of a sprite together. You did a good job on the blending if thats what you were aiming at. The blood, not so hot
Still a good fake, and it's nice to see a few hitting the boards (it's been dead around here).
Well, the detail inside Johnny's body is quite nice, but his blood flow seems every which way. Some is flying upward, and some downward, it looks a bit akward. The belt also looks strange, it stops too abrubtly. Perhaps you should made him slice into his clothes as well. The glimmer effect on Kung's hat is good, but just one question: where is the light coming from?

Actually, I made that spine from scratch. I hate the bones in the original, too. I guess the blood on it just makes it look purple.

The camera.
Thank you for the comments and tips... I'll keep them in mind.

It isn't that bad, really. The shine effect on Lao's hat is pretty good. Yeah, the spine you made is pretty purplish. The blood isn't that great, too. 3/5
