well im not a big fan of mario and link but this is good for your first sig.

1- 7/10 add a border and change the font.
2-8/10 just need a border.

First sig has a beautiful background. VERY well brushes there dude. But you have put the text waaay to high in the corner. Move it out a lil more into the sig. 7.3/10.

Second, the Link renders cutting is horrible. If you maybe blend that in a little (I know you new, so I would consider looking up how to blend on Good-tutorials. And also the stroke on the text is way to big. 1px would work great. 7.1/10.

Besides that, for your first and second, i'm very impressed. Good work.

Wow! They are really great for your first sigs. I'm making sigs almost a year now and all mine suck. lol. Well Done. I love the Koopa Troopa one because of the background and the Link one because of its style. I would give the Koopa one an 8 and the Link one a 9. Great Job!
