I am beginning this novel and i didnt know where to post this so i did it here.
I need clarification of the characters i can kill off in the first book.
Characters that die in the storyline are aparently :-
Sub-Zero (Elder)
Scorpian (Because he can be reborn)

But these are the only characters that can die...All others appear in later games and are needed in the story. Therefore i need something i can do to either nearly kill off characters or introduces some that can die with no concequence to the story. Any ideas?

It's scorpion.

Why do you need to kill off all the characters anyway? Thats not what happened in MK1...

I agree. There is no need to kill all the characters especially in MK1. Only the first Sub Zero we know since MK1 came out needs to die. He got killed by Scorpion, whom Subby first killed as classified from MKM:SZ. Anyway, write about Scorpion's death and rebirth in the novel first.

Yes i agree characters dnt have to die...but how can u have them fight in mortal kombat without anyone dying. Someone in the book needs to die if only some other non named characters

There weren't only seven combatants in MK1's tournament. Actually, they were just the seven that survive.

It was an elimination tournament that must have had more than seven warriors. My advice is to create a tournament full of random warriors in addition to the main cast. These warriors are the ones that didn't make it; they lost their matches to the heroes and villains we play as in the game.
They're basically people who Scorpion and others slaughtered.

You shouldn't write until you are clear on the source material.
Also, I'm not too sure Mk is the easiest subject to write a novel on.smile
