I am guessing that Shang Tsung morphed into Kintaro and then after that killed Shao Kahn. Yeah, that's probably right. It is a nice idea, Shang Tsung betraying his emperor, classic.

Now you see the two puddles of blood? I think you should've pastes that onto the picture first, that away it looks like it is behind Shao Kahn on the floor. Since you pasted it after Shao Kahn, it makes it look like it is still falling. If you meant to make it that way, then nevermind.

Just a question though, does it show how Shang Tsung/Kintaro killed Shao Kahn? Because all I see is a victory pose, and a split in half Shao Kahn.

Okay, I'm going to be completely honest. I make fake pics to make them look like situations that actually could happen in MK. Not 30 people ripping Stryker in half and Ryu from Street Fighter in the background. So the Graphically correct comment I will accept as criticism, but I make fake pics to see rumors from the early days of MK come to life, not to make stupid things that would never happen in an actual game.

Originality is good, yes. But creativity is also good as well.
Either way, the fakes work for me, as long as their good.
But hey dude, you know that you could still make your own background, and keep the MK characters. Giving you a little of originality and creativity. We all win.

See...that's a distinct philosophical disagreement we have then when it comes to fakes; I think most of the fake backrgrounds people come up with look really gaudy. Just my preference.

If you don't like the my fakes, that's fine, but I will continue to do fakes that could theoretically exist in the MK universe.

Now I never said you could'nt make any fakes that involved all MK, so don't take me wrong on that. You can make ALL the fakes you want, all that I am saying, is to put a little effort into them each time. Just doin fake's for DPs doesn't fit it all. You need to be making fakes, cause you want to.

I didn't even know you could get dragon points for fakes; I rarely venture into this forum.

I did the fakes because I wanted to; no one commented on my Shao Kahn body part sprites. Granted they weren't incredibly hard to make, but it did take some effort.

Once again, I didn't say you didn't put any effort into it, I am just telling for future reference. But, I did see that btw.

Aside from the confrontations, i actually like it apart from the mis layered blood puddles. I gotta admit i wouldnt have ever thought of using Shang Tsung when he has morphed and i like the way you potrayed him killing his master. The sprites look perfect.

The 5 rules of a fake:

Be Creative- Dont only try to do something you have never done before try to do something no one has done before. Which may be hard but there are things out there. Like how just rescently I have switched to not only doing fakes but sprite edits as well.

Be Graphicly correst- It seems you are ok with this one but ive seen some where is like dude... even if you are using paint paste the blood before the character so it doesnt look like its infront of him.

TRY- Try is as simple as I can put it.

Strive to be better every fake- Try make your next fake better then your last. I know not everyone gives proper cnstructive criticism around here but whats there take it into consideration.

Dont Fake your Fakes- Dont come out and say this is a quick fake, when you know in reality it took you 2 hours. Seriously, if you say it is a quick fake it makes most of us think you tried your hardest on it and dont want to be shot down. If you follow rules 1-4 then you shouldnt have to be saying its a quick fake, and you shold always be proud of your work. Not saying "it sucks" or whatnot. Its ok to say I'm not fond of this peice of work I did but I tried my best, I do it sometimes, and I now its not because its crappy its always the hardest to impress yourself.

Well, I'm doing a full fake of the Spine rip in MK2 and making a movie out of it.

I've seen too many of these (fakes like this) around 6 years ago.
