Okay:

01 - Fujin (something very fluid like the wind, no tune interruptions)
02 - Raiden (sharp tune, electric sound effects)
03 - Kitana (stars darkish and heavy until it bursts into a peaceful tune)
04 - Sindel (wild and dark, screams with echo effects)
05 - Ermac (mysterious sounding, multiple overlapping voices heard)
06 - Sektor (mechanical/industrial sound, with interruptions, missiles firing)
07 - Kung Lao (oriental, light and quick, MKSM hat audio special effects)
08 - Reptile (darkish sound, with reptilian sounds, possibly a slower tune)
09 - Quan Chi (darkest tune of all, death should ooze from it hehe)
10 - Havik (chaos all over the place, it should come with a warning because the listener's head should hurt afterwards lol)


Some of these are characters I like and some are characters I thought could provide an interesting theme.

Maybe for Raiden and Fujin there could be some simple chorus-like back vocals to give that "godly" feel to their theme.

1. Smoke (human or cyborg, preferably both ^_^): For Human, it should sound smooth and creeping, slow and easy, then go into some kind of fast-paced theme. For the cyborg, it should be like the intro to the human one I suggested, but then go into robotic type sounds. For the intro, try listening to "We'll always be watching you" by Gotye, that kind of smooth, slow, and dark.

2. Mavado: I don't know. Go crazy with this one hah.

3. Kenshi: Should start out.... slow, easy, like if he was training and doing it slowly. Then it should burst out fast paced (yes, this sounds similar to Smoke's theme, but bare with me) like someone attacked and he starts kicking their ass. Cuz he's blind n stuff, and they thought it'd be easy prey, but then BAM. Pwnage. For the intro, think something Asian-oriented, like Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas. Doesn't have to be as short, but something like that. Peaceful, but training/Asian like.

4. Shang Tsung: Have it be dark, imperial like. Thinking kind of Empire theme from Star wars, only less.... iconic/cheesy. Very battle oriented feeling-like, but still composed and imperial-esque.

5. Ermac: Start out smooth and leading up to something, kind of like Cosmic Sea by Death (only the very beginning before the guitar intro) and then kind of continue it in a smooth pattern, while still changing it up.

6. Rain: Start off with sounds of water, then go have fun with it. I just like Rain.

7. Kintaro: My favorite character! Try beastial, vicious, ferocious, throw in a tiger sound, have it be war like and mid-battle sounding. Idk how to start it tho.

8. Moloch: Kind of like Kintaro, but have it be slower and darker, more deep bass and heavy going.

9. Johnny Cage: I was thinking Guile's theme from Street Fighter the entire two seconds I was typing his name. Something cheesy sounding, maybe even close to an iconic theme (no plagiarism or direct copying of course) and just make it sound "American" and happy, upbeat. Try using the same upbeatness as Guile's theme.

10. Meat: .... Gory. Make it sound like some kind of rising creature out of the pits, like a newborn but fully capable monster.

11. Stryker: Rap-like, from the streets. Make it sound like he's a cop in a bad neighborhood, and has to deal with thugs n stoof.

12. Kung Lao: Have it be upbeat and fighter-like, sort of intense and fierce.

13. Liu Kang: Make it heroic, since he was the original hero of the MK series. Make it still sound upbeat of course.

14. Mokap: Not sure at all. I just really like Mokap.

15. Shinnok: Dark and heavy, very deep and mysterious. Maybe in the beginning add some sounds of flames to represent his capture in the Netherrealm.

16. Ashrah: Not sure. Just happen to like her too.

17. Kobra: I totally want this to be a reference to Ken from street fighter's theme, simply because Kobra looks so much like Ken.

18. Noob Saibot: Dark and mysterious, much like "Life in the mines" music from DKC1.

19. Havik: Dubstep. Chaos. Dubstep.

20. Reptile: Again, just like him, don't know.

Feel free to use any of the words I used to your own subjective ideas, and of course, as always, it's your music that you're making, so you are the main decider for how it sounds. These are all just suggestions as to how I think they should sound, but if you think different, then that's perfectly fine.

The musical suggestions, though much appreciated, aren't really necessary.

Every person will have their own ideas on how they'd want a particular theme to sound, and it would be impossible to please each of them, so I will just have to go with my best judgment on that part.
