Characters that were entirely new, thought up by me:
- Theia, Goddess of Light
- Luna, Goddess of the Moon. However, in MK1, Reptile says "Look to La Luna"
Characters from the 90's Malibu comics:
- Abacus
- Zaggot
From Egypt:
- Ra
From Greek:
- Gaia, also mentioned (spelled Gaea) in the 1995 MK novel
From the 1995 MK Novel:
- T'ien, from one of the dozens of religions across ancient China
Deleted MK characters:
- Baphomet
From Mythologies: Sub-Zero:
- Water God
- Fire God
- Fujin. I named the Water and Fire Gods Aegaen and Hephaestus, after Greek mythology. Mortal Kombat has never quite had an "ae" spelling in a character's name before, so maybe this is cool.
From MK1: Raiden. MK4: Shinnok. MK9: Female Elder God, now named "Izanami", as in Japanese Shinto, Izanami-no-mikoto. She, plus male Izanagi-no-mikoto, formed all the islands in the Earth (also mentioned in the MK novel).
From MK Annihilation: Shinnok being the father of Raiden.
Look up Izanami-no-mikoto and you will find an ancient Japanese picture of her and Izanagi-no-mikoto standing in the sky as giants, similar to my comic strip, but I didn't see that picture until after I'd started making my comic. Hilarious that I would accidentally get Izanami correct. (I used the appearance of Frost, slightly altered, because she happens to look similar to the MK9 Female Elder God.)

Hey. Did anyone else notice that this new Johnny Depp movie coming out, "Intelligence", is basically just my brother ]{0MBAT's comic strip "Ghost in the Machine" from '05 or '06?

I have begun to "see" how far a fan-made Internet comic strip could be taken.

Ghost in the machine is a movie from '93 about a guy's consciousness being transferred electronically after he gets the chair... the idea is as old as dirt

Back to the topic at hand. I like this, the idea is fun, it's not super tidy, but its executed well enough so that its fun, and overall creative.
Keep em coming!
