Alright obviously I’m new at this and I just came up with it today so bear with me here. This is an MK Role Playing game that will be based on scoring. Here’s how the scoring works.
Punches/Kicks = 1pt
Uppercuts/Roundhouses = 2 pts
Throws = 3 pts
Evades = 4 pts (2/match)
Special Moves = 5 pts
Blocks = 0 pts (2/match)
Each player gets 30 points at the beginning of the match. Each player gets to utilize each of these attacks in any order and amount without exceeding their 30 points, within 10 lines. Meaning you can use any of these without going over 30 points up to ten times. The scoring system works like this, you score off of your attacks by trying to place a higher pointed attack over your opponent. Ex)
Player One
Line 1 - punch
Line 2 - kick
Line 3 - freeze
Line 4 - uppercut
Player Two
Line 1 - kick
Line 2 - throw
Line 3 - punch
Line 4 - spear
In Line 1 the attacks cancel out because the attacks are worth one, therefore no one scores. In Line 2 Player Two scores because the throw is more than the kick. I would subtract the points that attack is worth which is 2 (kick is 1, throw is 3) and Player Two scores 2 points now. In Line three Player One scores 4 points because the special move is worth 5 and the punch is worth 1. Starting to get it? Lastly in Line 4 Player Two scores because of the Spear vs the uppercut. Player Two gets 3 points. So at the end of this 4 Lined fight Player One scores 4 points, and Player Two scores 5 points. Now although this is a short example of a fight the real fights will be 10 lines and run the same way.
A block if used can only be used in two lines by one opponent. Basically what it does is block the other persons attack and the blocker receives one point while the attack receives none, so place your blocks carefully. You have to anticipate in this game. Also the evades are basically point stealers. Also they can only be used twice in two lines as well. The evades work like this, the evader will receive the amount of points the attack attempted to strike. Example in Line 2 Sub-Zero evades, and Scorpion uppercuts, Sub-Zero will evade and then uppercut Scorpion and receive two points for that attack. Also evades can be blocked and the blocker will receive two points for blocking an evade. So place those sparingly as well.
When writing up your fight make sure you do not exceed the amount of points which will always be posted with you vs your opponent. For now the limit is 30, if you go over 30 points in your line, then you will lose the amount of point(s) you went over plus your opponent will get one free block. When in a match up you must NOT post your lines or “fight” in the thread, because then your opponent might see and change theirs around. Make sure you PM me your lines and I’ll figure out the winning. Then what I’ll do is write up a fight scene for the match and make it more of a realistic fight. In the example’s case, obviously Player One is Sub-Zero and Player Two is Scorpion. Once they have PMed me their fight and I have calculated the score I’ll write up a detailed fight scene between the two and post that into the forum. Then you’ll see who won and how many points each person earned.
Here’s how you win a match.
Player One scored – 4 points and has 21 points remaining. See how I got the remaining? Added up the amount of points the attacks they used subtracted it from 30 (the amount you start with) they spent 9 total points in four lines so their stamina is worth 21 points.
Player Two scored – 5 points and has 20 points remaining.
Therefore Player Two wins. The stamina is worth something because if a player has more points and stamina than their opponent they get extra points and perform a fatality as long as they have 5 more points than their opponent. You get that by adding the score with the stamina. In this case player two wins but does not perform a fatality. Player Two receives 5 points plus 5 more points for winning the match.
Now don’t get confused, because the amount of points you earn isn’t added to your points before a matchup. It’s added to your ranking. Example, so far in this entire RP, Player One has 4 points and Player Two has 5 points. As the matches go on against different opponents, your points will be added up and I’ll post the rankings.
To make this work we’re going to need at least eight people. I’ll post up the available characters and moves soon, and only one character per person. Remember first come first served, so stay peeled to see what characters you can choose from.
Make note that as time goes on and more people join, I may change things up a bit. Things like amount of points you start out in before a match, the amount of lines in a match-up, the lingo of words I’m using. But if I do don’t worry, I’ll let everyone know. So let me know if anyone is interested, and I hope so because this is the only thing keeping me from calm about MK until MKA.
So if you'd like to join in just reply saying ur interested. What I'll do is PM you a day before your fight and I'll give you a certain amountof time to PM me your lines "fight". If you fail to do so it'll be one strike. Three stirkes and you will be booted off this game and you character will become vacant. So make sure you want to do this and will be checking ur MKO inbox daily. Obviously if you have something important to do then just PM and let me know because I'll obviously be flexible with you. If you're unsure then just watch first because if a lot of people jump in then it's going to be hard calculating everything and writing up the detailed fights. So at first I may just take a few people. But we'll see. If you have any questions please just ask it here, because other people may have the same ones. Hope to get this started.

Yea I know what you mean by that, except the other way of doing it would be to set up matches and have the two characters "talk" about each other. I mean I'd be down for that, but then people who get ancy about who I decided as the winner. With the points its done by facts instead of just my opinion of who RPed better. But you're the only person who replied so maybe this won't work either.
Brother, just the whole fighting thing is kinda pointless. If we want to have MK fights... we can just play them on the video games and not wait a day before our opponent makes a move. I just think it would be alot better if it was just a regular RPG, with just a story that the players would create.
Like in the good old days in the mortalkombat.com forums. We roleplayed the best darn fan made MK story ever. It was awesome. I miss that.

Well Zentile you have a point an all. The only thing about role playing though is just that the result would be based off the judgers opinion. But if no one minds that then I guess that wouldn't matter. What do you think? Would you be up for that then. Say I'll post lists of characters and you choose and I'll set up matches and then you and your opponent post the match and the best sounding fight wins? That was the other thought I had but I didn't run with it just because it would be based off of my opinion and I didn't want people to feel cheated or anything you know. Well let me know what you think or if you have any ideas.
