Mortal Kombat X Soulcalibur - New Characters! (1-21-2014)
I just wanted to share some of the Mortal Kombat characters I created in Soulcalibur V.
It's has become a very fun and challenging task to create costumes for Mortal Kombat characters in this game, especially considering how different the art between the two series are. Anyhoo, here they are.
I apologize in advance for any bad quality. lol
Second Four Characters
From Left to Right: Kano, Liu Kang, Li Mei, Shinnok
First Twelve Characters
Top Row: Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Mileena, Quan Chi, Kenshi, Ermac
Bottom Row: Nitara, Raiden, Jade, Kitana, Shang Tsung, Reptile
Sub-Zero
This costume was taken mostly from Sub-Zero's alternate costume in Mortal Kombat Deception. This is also one of the simpler costumes I created, not having too much detail.
Scorpion
I felt Scorpion needed a major overhaul (about 12 years ago), so I took this as the opportunity. Here, Scorpion has dark red as the front color, with yellow running throughout the costume. He also has more of a demon-like appearance, which I felt suits him as an undead warrior.
Mileena
This costume was one of the few costumes that has had minor changes since its initial creation. Mileena turned out to be one of the easiest characters to create, though I had originally intended to recreate her primary costume from Mortal Kombat Deception.
Quan Chi
A character I've shown before, Quan Chi is the first character I created among these twelve, for obvious reasons.
The costume turned out pretty well overall, though the amulet was very difficult to come up with, and is still not 100% on par.
Kenshi
Kenshi was one of the characters I immediately thought of when I decided to create a set of Mortal Kombat characters. This costume is quite basic, but is somewhat of a fuse between his two costumes from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance.
Ermac
Ermac was one of the more difficult characters to create. Initially, he had no eyes, as his entire body was in bandages. Eventually, I boiled it down to this concept, doing my best to stay true to his currently known image.
Nitara
When I unlocked the bat wings, I literally immediately decided to create Nitara. This costume wasn't necessarily difficult to make, but the covering of her eye proved to be a tough task to accomplish.
Raiden
This is easily one of my favorite costumes. While most people who create Raiden in Soulcalibur resort to his Mortal Kombat II costume, I decided to take a shot at is primary costume from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. While obviously not an exact duplicate, I must say it turned out very well.
Jade
Jade is hands down the most difficult character for me to create, as I only desire to take inspiration from two of her costumes: her Deception primary and her MK2011 primary. After much trial and error, mostly error, I managed to settle with a concept, which I have to say isn't that bad.
Kitana
Though I initially wanted to recreate her MK2011 primary costume, I thought about the many requests made to NRS to have her look more like a warrior and decided to give it a shot myself. I did my best to cater to the combative look, while still maintaining the essence of Kitana's beauty.
Shang Tsung
Another of my favorite costumes, and partially for the same reason as Raiden. Shang Tsung's primary costume in Deadly Alliance is my favorite costume of his and one of my favorites of the series. I made it a personal challenge of mine to recreate it to the best of my ability.
Reptile
This costume started out a huge mess, as I was trying far too hard to recreate Reptile's MK4 costume. In the end, I decided to give him a new costume all together. I am particularly proud of his face, because since there is no reptilian face in the creation mode, I had to create my own.
Deadpool
Because he's awesome and no one was expecting it!
While creating the Mortal Kombat characters, I also created a few Marvel characters, and Deadpool was one of them. Everything about making him was easy, except for his eyes. Even now, I am still struggling to perfect them.
As an added bonus, here are some stills of the characters in battle.

Really awesome stuff you got here. Back when I was at my parent's house one time me and my older brother created almost everyone from MK into SC:5. Might I add, it's awesome to not only create these lovable characters, but also make them kick each other's asses in another video game.
My personal favorites you made would be Ermac, Raiden, and Tsung. You got some good stuff there boss, keep more characters coming!

Man... I remember I created a load of MK characters (even Kia, Jatakka) for SCIV. My Shao Kahn was pretty much perfect. It was pretty much Astaroth in a mask but still... Wish I could have got a decent Sindel complete with badger hair though. ;_;
These look awesome, so awesome that I might have to put up pics of my characters in a different thread.

Sindel is the character I've been struggling with the most, and it is certainly because of her hair.
I've been going through ways to create the badger hair, and as soon as I'm successful, I am so making her. lol

*Looks at Deadpool and sighs* If only they could put this in a movie.
Everything is just awesome, kudos.

New Characters!
Kano
Kano proved to be a lot easier to make than I thought, even considering his eye. Even better, giving him Devil Jin's move set allows him to have his eye laser move. I still wish I could give him a better hairdo, though.
Liu Kang
I had originally decided against Liu Kang, because every other time I made him, he just looked terrible. This time, however, he actually looks pretty decent, thanks to the long, flowing hair and pendant.
Li Mei
This costume was a bit trick to do, because I was flopping back and forth between her Deadly Alliance primary and her Deception primary. In the end, I decided to give her a new costumes that somewhat caters to both.
Shinnok
Shinnok was a lot of fun to make, and very challenging as well. His helmet was most difficult to create, but I eventually succeeded. This is easily one of my favorites of the costumes.
