Glad to be here as a klassic MK fan
Welcome to my MK Khronology, my own timeline for all things Mortal Kombat. Aside from Kreations, this shall be the home turf of everything for my own set of events. Although elements shall be included from the first film, the klassic era, Defenders of the Realm, some elements from Conquest, and minor events from 9, X and 11.
This helped me a lot understanding the konvoluted series I've known since I was 5, when I've encountered the SNES version at random. This first began back in 2022, when the Shaolin Monks Let's Play ended and when I started writing my first fanfic, MK: Shaolin Monks, Part II. I shall submit more as I go, and there has been an alt timeline or 2 based on different roleplays.
It's now available on multiple platforms:
Fanfiction.net, DeviantArt, Tumblr, podfics on YouTube, Archives of Our Own, sometimes on Twitter and Discord. Occasionally, you'd see Mortal Kombat be referenced in my many countdowns too.

Why December 14th should be important in Mortal Kombat
I'm just gonna wing this, but since 1996, I always felt this particular day should have upmost importance:
Ever since the last episode of Defenders of the Realm, Overthrown, it aired back in 1996 just 11 days before Christmas. Kitana mentioned it was the 5000th anniversary of the death of Edenia's noble king, Jerrod. 5k years ago, Outworld and Shao Kahn won 10 MK tournaments, thus the invasion/merger, the Day of Shao Kahn, and Edenia seizing to exist. According to most installments, it's proven to be true since Edenia's been swept under the rug since Armageddon! This could also be a reminder of the Day of Sigma from Mega Man X, with Sigma striking the peaceful world and Reploids hence the many wars. This was also the airing of the last episode with an open-ended finale, as well as the debut of the forgotten, neglected Edenian hawk knight, Asgaarth. As hurtful as it was, I began rewatching it on that day since 2021 once Shaolin Monks brought me back to the series since the double fallouts with MK9 and X!
Since those abrupt ends, I've made it as a crucial date for young Aiko leaving the defenders and soon churning into Revenants thereafter. In my Khronology, it's been labeled in the year 1992 instead since it's the same year as the first and second tournaments, if going by actual chronology since the first game.
While my OC's younger self left at that date and witnessed the dystopian future, the present self was sent 16 years into the past to right the wrongs. On that date, Defenders of the Realm ended while my first fic, Shaolin Monks Part II, occurs. It was on that night Aiko wound up in the dazzling Jersey alleyways and was saved by Kung Lao from a drunk predator, before Aiko explained herself to Lao and soon Raiden.
By ruminating on that date, this was also the deadline for the kompletion of my 3rd book in my Khronology, MK Vengeance, based on Deadly Alliance, as a convenient date to get it done during the holiday rush. Mind you, that fic took almost 4 months to make and it was the most convoluted especially when treading in uncharted waters! Kompleted on Dec 14th, 2022.
So too, it was the same date when I've released Every Defenders of the Realm Episode Ranked on 2023; based upon the cancellation back in 1996. It has always been an important part of my life since I was a tween by then... I feel it shall also be vital in MK's history, no different how we'd learn dates in REAL history! However, since Edenia has always been discarded, it never did. I often feel no one seems to care about these details but me, hence my Khronology based on my pathos and experiences.
