My unfinished W.I.P. from the recent FPK

To put this lightly, this is very raw and unfinished, but before I locked this away into my vault of never to be finalized works I figured I could show people what I was working on. Take it for what it is, I guess.



This was the first time in 2 years I had even touched PaintShopPro 7 in editing/creating these sprites and the rust shows. But I enjoyed the editing process for the most part until I got to a couple dynamics that blocked my creative and motivational energies. Thus, I look at this work in progress as a decent effort to see what I was capable of and such, though I'm not even close to being satisfied.

Hopefully when/if there's another FPK, I can finish something and see how I fare against some of the other veterans and newcomers.

I hope so too you can participate in the contest I will be hosting soon. But like I said on the PM, it's looking bad ass and I can't wait till it's finish.

Looks fantastic MKR - not raw and unfinished at all. As always, there's a fantastic attention to detail here, particularly on Kahn's face.

Can't wait to see this finished in a future fake.

Oh boy, if I got accused of that for real, I'd probably laugh and tell the person to go find the render I supposedly resized and then I would show them they're full of shit. I usually keep multiple saves of each stage of progression in case the issue arises.

Thanks guys, but I don't foresee this getting finished any time soon. To be honest I probably won't even touch these until I'm bone dry of ideas and bored out of my skull. The earliest estimation I could put on even touching this would be after Christmas when I have down time.

As for a future kontest, I would like to enter, and I've been penciling ideas for what I could do and such. I've been toying with sprites when I do have the time, refining my shading and breaking the rust. Nothing big yet, but I'm fairly confident in my abilities. Can't wait.. My only hope is being able to finish something,.. oh and more participants of course, haha.

Wow that is IMPRESSIVE!!!

I know I'm no good, but I have to say that the orientation of shao kahn looks very awkward. But the artistic quality is amazing.

I hope ur in the next FPK!!!
