All right, here's the deal. According to MK9, during the MK3 Invasion, humanity's souls weren't all just bamfed away, and Earthrealm was resisting the Invasion. I'm assuming that Shao Kahn's forces didn't only come through in that one city and there were probably other heroes elsewhere, fighting Kahn's other forces. I'm going to write up a story/novella/whatever about another one of these groups, eventually led by Fujin. What I come here asking is this: Which of these characters would you rather have the story follow in the beginning as he builds up a team of heroes?

Dirk Zeon, a con-artist and underground prize fighter with the Judan rank in Karate.

Lucian Richards, a self-taught sorceror who puts his talents to work as a paranormal investigator.

L. J. Cobb, a hardened, former Marine, Special Forces investigator and all around badass grandpa.

There are of course other characters, I'm just torn between these three being the catalyst, so to speak, that brings together all these people to fight for their home realm.
