Does anyone have a link to a free art program thats good for creating sprite comics and pics? I have some realli good comics left collecting dust because they always get ruined because of that gay bitmap image stuff...can anyone help me?

on gimp where exactly do i go to download the actual program? may sound like a noob question but i dont wanna download a bunch of useless stuff into my pc.
