New Realms

Nitara's Vampire Realm (Zattera/Bianfu)

Nitara's vampire realm is a realm of two halves. The one half, is beautiful with mountains and clouds with rainbows, but is swarmed by onis and vampires (Sentence credited to Black-Rose). The second half, is arcane and dark. It rains blood and vampires and onis are more vicious because they hunger for blood and flesh to feast upon. It is a sub-realm of Outworld, and an forgotten portal in Outworld leads to this separate/inner Outworld realm. (it is really an independent realm)

Ice Realm

The Ice Realm is the Lin Kuei's separate independent realm. It includes the frozen katakombs where fallen Lin Kuei warriors are rested as well as Sub-Zero's ancestors. The realm is made of pure ice, with some Ice Temples, no life seen, and frozen waterfalls (Sentence credited to Black-Rose). Although it seems to have no life, the Lin Kuei temple resides here, far from the entrance to the realm. Also, many Lin Kuei have seen a huge snow monster that eats anything to satisfy its hunger. The Ice Realm has never been inhabited by anyone or anything other than the Lin Kuei.

Heaven

The Heavens are the home of the righteous dead as well as the many deities and gods in Mortal Kombat (Sentence credited to Baraka407). All the gods, including the elemental gods, have their main home and place of origin in Heaven. The Heavens are a place of life, wisdom, and paradise. This is where the Plain of Enlightenment is located. It is a plain of meditation for the gods and deities and communication with others from different realms.

Hell

Home of the evil schemers and tortured souls that brought pain and misery to others in their past lives (Sentence credited to Baraka407). Hell is the sub-realm of the Netherrealm. This is where Lucifer has been residing all this time after being dethroned by Shinnok. Lucifer now is planning to destroy Shinnok and merge the Netherrealm with Hell and make it one realm. After that, he plans to arrange an assault against Heaven for strength and power.

Underworld

Lucifer created this realm by adding it as a sub-realm to Hell, an already sub-realm. After Lucifer was dethroned by Shinnok, he intended to make two sub-realms, such as Hell and The Underworld, and merge them with the Netherrealm, for eternal strength and power to use against Shinnok. The Underworld is a success, and has been created. All of the evil tainted souls enter each of the two sub-realms and when they are full, Lucifer takes those souls for himself, and becomes more powerful each time. The Underworld is like Hell II.

Darkrealm

Darkrealm is a forgotten realm that can only be traveled to by a unpredictable portal. The unpredictable portal lies in the deepest dark part of Outworld and is far from the basis of the realm, located in a Tomb called the Tomb of Doom. The unpredictable portal can tear you inside out, cook you like a microwave, or take you to the Underworld or Hell, and might not work at all. If you are lucky it will take you to the Darkrealm. Darkrealm is a place of eternal darkness, pitch black darkness. The only thing that lights up the realm is the burning torches and built fires from the inhabitants of the realm. The inhabitants include starving humans that the Elder Gods are unaware of, demons, putrid corpses, and everything evil. The realm used to be a secret realm that was so beautiful that many said it was a gateway to heaven. It used to be like that, until Shao Kahn discovered the secret realm of paradise, and slaughtered all the people and sent evil to the realm, destroying it completely. The ground that used to be fertile, now is arid and black hard rock soil. The atmosphere is crude with blackness of dark clouds. The reason for all of this is because of the Shao Kahn's hunger for power to merge this secret realm with Outworld. Shao Kahn then failed to merge the realm with Outworld because he was defeated by Liu Kang. Kahn was then enraged, so both Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn both used the Dark Arts to put an eternal spell on the realm to be dark, evil, and unlivable for all of eternity. Although humans remain in moderate population, they are being tortured every hour and about two humans die every day in the realm. The cure for this hell is unknown.

Wind World

Home of the wind god Fujin. The world is windy-sometimes causing tornados, dark, and has some thunder and lightening through the skies. The skies are dark and cloudy. Every land mass is not on the original ground, but high in the air, made of brick, wood, steel, and some original ground. There is a portal to this realm, it is located at the Temple of Elements. The Elder Gods granted him permission of a home world to help stabilize his element in order to prevent unbalance of the elements, causing chaos.

Water World

Home of the water god Suijin. Water world has an unlimited amount of water. There is water in the atmosphere, the ground, and underground. The land consists of lands on Earth, but with a lot more water. It rains seventy percent of the time, and thirty percent of the time it does not. Waterfalls, lakes, and rivers make up most of the land. Orderrealm has set their eyes on this world to get their water, instead of the Chaosrealm, if they can find a portal to this world in the Temple of Elements. The Elder Gods granted him permission of a home world to help stabilize his element in order to prevent unbalance of the elements, causing chaos.

Fire World

Home of the fire god Kajin. Everything is on fire in this realm. The atmosphere is orange and red, and flames light up the sky. The ground consists of black ground, and land masses made of brick, steel, and molten rock. Volcanoes erupt constantly, causing the lava to spurt. The lava then dries, making more land mass out of molten rock. There are waterfalls of lava, rivers and lakes are filled with lava and are on fire. Smoke from the fires, enters the skies, and then disappears. Smoke also falls on the lands, because of the fire in the skies, then it disappears into the ground. There is no water in this realm, and is unlivable, only to Kajin, god of fire. There is a portal to this world, it is located in the Temple of Elements. The Elder Gods granted him permission of a home world to help stabilize his element in order to prevent unbalance of the elements, causing chaos.

Earth World

Since the Temple of Elements is located on Earth, so is the earth element. The earth element is the only element that resides on Earth in the Temple of Elements. Home of Chijin, god of earth, it lies way below the ground, under the Temple of Elements. A tunnel leads to the underground earth shrine. Earthly parts lie in the shrine. Caves, rocks, soil, sand, and all other parts of the earth lie here, making up the shrine. The earth god resides in the deepest part of the shrine, resting, and fulfilling his duty as earth god. The Elder Gods granted him permission of a home on Earth in an earth shrine to help stabilize his element in order to prevent unbalance of the elements, causing chaos.

Story After Armageddon- A new evil (Credited to Baraka407 for excellent work)

Armageddon has passed. The sweeping tide of destruction and war nearly tore the Earth asunder. As we begin to crawl out from beneath our fallen cities, a widespread realization begins to take hold. This is not the last battle between good and evil. Indeed, this ending is only the beginning.
A new power is rising in the depths of Hell. The river of fire has dried away, allowing the wretched souls to recede into nothingness. But the way of things suggests that nothing is truly gone, lest something new be created. He was once a deity of dust and bone, a power that pulled magma from the scorched bowels of emptiness. For too long, he has lingered in the shadows, balancing the scales between this world and the next. For too long, he has remained hidden among the dead.
The armies that he has already begun amassing will be swift and relentless in pursuit of their ultimate ambition: The realm of Heaven must fall. Only then may they reclaim what they lost so long ago. I now believe the words of the ancient prophecy: Death has been made flesh once more, and the chosen battleground shall be Earth. Fellow chosen ones, there is no time to lose. We must prepare quickly, if we are to have any hope of surviving the coming storm."

Afterrealm (Name credited to EmberJoe)

Afterrealm is a realm divided into many realms. It contains fragments of all realms that have been merged after Armageddon (sentence credited to EmberJoe). This is where Lucifer is leading an assault to the Heavens, by doing this merging, he is making the gods and deities of the Heavens watch innocent people suffer. This is where the coming storm is going to take place, a battle, a war. The Heavens have decided that the fate of the realms shall be determined as it should be, in a tournament against Lucifer's alliance while each realm's armies fight Lucifer's. The fate of the realms against Lucifer will be decided in . . . MORTAL KOMBAT!
