This is the cover art for the first issue of a comic book series I'm currently working on... the link goes to the full version.

Here's the front...

Here's the back...

While it isn't directly related to MK, it's inspired by it to some degree and I thought y'all might like to see it.
Happy Friday the 13th!

I like the 2nd, and 4th demon heads in the first one. I also like the skulls in the second. Both have good color play.

I remember this comic idea you had. Very nice, incredibly detailed. From what you've shown so far of the comic it looks to be rippin'.
The background really sets the premise for the story well. I assume the people on his left are the bad guys he'll confront throughout the story?
Can't wait if there's more you want to show us.

While your art isn't nearly on the level as his (not an insult, btw), I'm gonna compare this to Adi Granov's work. Amazing pin-ups, covers, posters, etc. But when it comes to actual interior stuff (layouts, etc.) it just doesn't cut it.

Cool cover, I like the flaming skulls. Reminds me of Scorpion's UMK3 stage and Netherrealm
Thanks for the input everybody! I appreciate your comments!
Yeah, the faces in the flames are the antagonists of the story. The main antagonist (Azzara) is silhouetted directly above the ninja (Tetsu).
Here's some samples of the interior art. You can find more samples as well as more info on the story and characters at shadowdevilcomic.com.

Outstanding artwork Aculeus. The character section on your website has me aching to see more (AZZARA's a scary looking bastard!)
Sorry if you answered this last time but were you trying to sell this idea to a company or planning to produce it independently? I'm not much of a comic book fan so I don't know the inner workings of it all but I would love to see this as a physical book rather than a serialised web comic.
In terms of critiquing this idea as a whole it's hard to see how successful it is as a story without actually having a massive chunk of the comic given to us (which I'd rather you didn't do, you're probably better off just publishing it and seeing how comic readers take to it IMO). Your story is fascinating, but like any other story-telling medium the way you execute it in the comic is what will make it work for fans. but from what we've seen the visuals are so damn professional so that's a good sign

Thanks for the compliments! I wanted to make Azzara as menacing as possible. Believe me, his actions coincide with his appearance.
I'm self-publishing at this point and having Diamond handle the distribution. I agree, I think having a book you can hold is better than a web comic.
