Anyhow, possibly the only thing I didn't like in this pic is how you dimmed the background, I would've liked to see the rest of it, which makes it look like there's more going on in the pic. At the moment, the background looks, well, just empty.

As for the edits though, they are nice, and I like the ice of Sub-Zero propelling himself into the air.

I'm pretty sure you put shadows in, i.e. the darker areas of the floor, or is that part of your background dimming?
Either way, they look like them anyway, lol.

ice blast moving him backwards? Yes it is a little, (I have had sleep now) and he is now kicking in the air, as Kitana is flying towards him. Hes kinda jumping backwards while facing forwards, kinda like a flying side kick but going backwards. I was kinda thinking kinda poetic, as both warriors go into the air. The original background got deleted and I didn't want to restart (lack of sleep) was a huge Gothic style temple with an exposed roof and you could see Raiden in the clouds watching. Imagine my anger when I really screwed that up beyond repair. Oh well, it will appear in a future pic.

Don't particulary like what you did with the BG, it would have been better to just leave it alone in my opinion. I can't really tell if those are shadows or not, good if they were meant to be.

The edits though, are quite nice. The ice you used looks pretty good, and the idea isn't so bad either. Kitana looks pretty sharp as well, though I would have liked to see you try her hairstyle from MKDA. Anyhow, thats not really all so important. Lifebars are great though, the texts and character images are the perfect size I think. Overall, I think its pretty cool.
