Ever wonder why some fighters never even make it to the first official match of the tournament? Because they don't pass the qualifying round. Here we see a cocky Earthrealm fighter who fell victim to Shang Tsung's temple guard. Not an easy match, but it doesn't get any easier after. Comments and critiques welcome, especially advice on how to improve my blood effects.

Awesome! Finally a good fake. I love this. The idea is awesome, the sprites look awesome, the background looks awesome. Overall its awesome.

5/5 The only problem I see is that the building in background looks like its floating.

Good idea, but the beach sand really doesnt look good pasted on like that. You should've made a custom sand effect to shape the stage - it's quite easy. That issue, coupled with the low res water and mountains strains the eyes a bit. The guard on stage looks good though 2.5/5

Care to enlighten me on how to make custom sand effect? (though I doubt you will since you never give straight answers when it comes to that stuff)

Um, thanks. How many of my other fakes have you actually seen? Cos I've made shitloads better than this. Even the last one I posted of Khameleon and Kai is better than this (since this one is border-line copy+paste job)

Um... what? All I asked was for you to enlighten me on how to create a sand effect because, believe it or not, I actually DO want you to teach me so I can make my fake better. Are you blind?

All you do is fill in two 3 pixel by 3 pixel grids with different shades of brown, then intersect and scale them to a desired result. Copy, Paste, and rotate the rest from this source. Shade when necessary

Nice...but...

The minor errors bug me, and while some have pointed out, others haven't. I'm too lazy to get into... One thing, the staff doesn't look rounded/natural looking. Also, don't smudge blood when it's directly on the background. Smudge (if you really want to...not recommended) when it's on it's own layer.

All I got, woo...

VERY nice background, that's actually my favorite part about this fake. The guard's left arm still looks a little MS Paint-ish, but that's only a minor concern to me. Also, the beaten fighter seems too....well...red. Yes, it's probably blood...but I think it's too much.

Anyway, 8/10.

exactly, I really need help with making my characters look bloody and beaten. So far what I try doesnt seem to be working, as you can see with teh fallen fighter.
