I was thinking it would be awesome to have Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, MK Style.
For those who do not know what Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots is, its this:
Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots is a two-player game/toy in which each player takes control of either the red robot (the "Red Rocker") or the blue robot (the "Blue Bomber"), both of which are standing on a platform reminiscent of a boxing ring. By pushing buttons on a pair of joysticks at the base of the platform, players make their robot punch at their opponent's robot. If a robot is hit in the chin or chest, its head will pop up, signifying that the other player has won.
Here is an image of what Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots looks like:
Now, instead of having the red robot and the blue robot, you could have, let’s say Scorpion and Sub-Zero facing each other. Sound effects from the MK fighting games would be put in to make it more realistic, whereas the regular Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots did not. It will have the same MK game elements, such as two rounds (with a 'which round' vocal), FIGHT! vocal, who wins vocal, etc. Also, instead of just having punches, you could have kicks, uppercuts, and much more MK attacks from the MK fighting games, making your 'fighter' much more versatile than the regular Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. Sorry, no special moves or anything like that. And, one thing Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots did not have was blocking, so count that in when it comes to MK style. Of course, the joystick would have to be really advanced to put out the attributes listed above, possibly an electronic one, rather than a spring plastic joystick, which regular Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots consisted of.
Instead of having a blocky robot, you would have something well similar to an MK action figure. When the 'fighters' head pops up, it would show a spinal cord (spring powered), instead of a lousy spring. In addition, you could have fake blood come out of the head when it is popped up, to bring back that MK feel. Of course, you would have to insert the fake blood into the 'fighters' head before hand, and it would be cleanable for another fight.
The ring would be the same as the one Goro and Art Lean fought in from the first MK movie, only the bottom sides of the ring would have MK logos on them, and it would be a lot larger than the one in the image above.
So what do you think? If you saw that in stores, I know you die-hard MK fans out there would buy it.

There's already been a toy like this, produced by Tiger Electronics. Pretty rare though. Here's mine:

Ah, holy shit man. Wow, MK has more than you think, but everything they come out with it seems like a secret, you know. Well, that is a basic concept of MK Rock Em Sock Em Robots, but I was thinking of a more advanced version than that, you know? Mine was more of an electronic approach, and very detailed.

Things like this are probably so rare because they were made before the big controversy and everything got to it's peak, and Kortal Kombat was still aimed toward children. While now if something like this were made(Since we all know any MK game is going to rated "M") it would cause another controversy, because Midway is aiming a "mature" franchise at children, even though teenagers/adults would buy it anyways just because it's MK. So Midway most likely discontunued this product after the controversy cooled down.(However it stills exists ever today. But with the ESRB's existants there really isn't much "they"*shivver* can do about it.)
And everyone probably alreday knew this.....
