I would say... In fact I AM saying... It's not the best work I've ever seen, but it's a good "sketch." I'm not being mean or rud, but you need to know...

Overall I think that yes, move on to another character, but your idea was pretty good, you have the concepts right... (left hand is smaller because it's farther away) But you really need to get some anatomy books along with one or two books on prespective... I think you're on your way to being a good artist, keep it up, just remember that you need to improve...

This isn't bad, but yes I'd rather see more diversity in characters. But anyway, this particular sketch has a bit more small muscular details that alot of your previous submissions. But even with that, I believe the chest area especially could use a bit more definition. Its more or less just shaded a bit, and you added a couple of veins (which look a bit out of place by the way) but really I think the chest area usually is one of the most important muscle features. The chest's attire isn't bad, perhaps it lack originality though. I suggest adding the 'box' like structures you see on his MKDA outfit, or asian writing to add some depth to it. As is, the attire is basically the standard 'ninja' suit.

The skull looks a bit out of proportion, perhaps too large for this sketch. The only thing I can suggest if you are looking for books on anatomy is to visit the sticky thread at the top of this forum. Though, I am sure you have looked through it before, but there is some nice advice and links to anatomy books/sites on that thread. Anyhow, the jaw is really what makes this look out of proportion. Its too wide, and the mouth is able to open too far for this to be totally realistic. The top of the skull isn't bad, the shading is alright, perhaps the cheekbones still appear a bit 'fleshy' but overall the top of the skull looks authentic.

The legs are in an odd position, so really it isn't the easiest to judge. I do think the transition between the upper legs and the calves isn't right. His upper legs overshadow the parts below the knee too much, the change in the leg width is too sharp in my view. The right foot seems too 'pointed' as well when it comes in contact with the floor. But I do agree you are getting better, I do think some parts of your anatomy skills need work, but as I said this sketch seems to focus somewhat on the muscle structures you have ognored in some of your previous drawings. Keep improving, and if you haven't already try some of those links in that thread I mentioned.

I don't really know of any books cuz I never learned that way, I could just do it, took some training of course but you know, some people are born with it... I did a quick search on Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com

The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain

On both sites... Now I actually took an art class at my local college to see if I might be missing anything in art development... Not much learned there... I bought that book for the class and never read it, but everyone else that was taking the class said it was really good... I don't really know but I CAN tell you that if both Barnesandnoble.com and Amazon.com have it on their website it means 2 things, 1 it's popular and 2 it works because people are recomending it leading to #1... So I would go to a book store and see if you can find that... I actually did get to see a major improvement in their art... Even the ones that sucked the most... So This book is cheap and available... I'd get it, if it doesn't work out, at least it's not 200.00 for a book you know?

Have fun

In no way does this drawing deserve a mark lower then 50%. As long as effort and originality are visible it shouldnt get a low mark. This fucking grading system is totally stupid. I hope this fucking thing is over and done with. I tried my best to ignore bad marks Ive gotten or other drawings that seem to just get a regular mark when they show a lot of charisma. Fucking jealous pricks or assholes who judge defiantly when they cant even draw themselves. Fuck this shit! I seriously, think this dragon score should be changed because some of the artist on this forum are not getting the recognition they deserve.

A 1 1/2? Wow, that's the current score on this. I think sandspider knows to just ignore the ratings for now, they are being refined but these things take time. For now, until there is a change in this system, I think everyone should just ignore the ratings.

i totally agree with suit,

they should change it , so when you vote you must type in your screen name, so we could see who is voting what scores. these could be displayed at the bottom of the replay message.

as to books, i have a few but very rarely look at them, i use a mirror or other people to pose for me, but go to a large book store barns and noble, something like that.
