Well, good for first try. The sprites and backround are too sharp in some places. Leave the sprites the way they are, don't blur them either. The Shang Tsung sprite is great for the blood popping out and showing guts but the brick textures ruins it. In closing, it was good for a first. Try fixing up the lifebars till their proper.

Hey, not bad!
Excellent for a first.
Although, the sprites are a wee bit too sharp-looking for an MK game.

Uhhh, dude, you have a naruto sig and avvie. last time i checked that didnt have anything to do with MK either.
Anyways, I dont really like the background, but I love the liukang pants on scorp! The blood looks great but the texture on tsung is a bit weird. I give it 3/5
