First and foremost, let's start off with the Bloody Bitch that is Skarlet. I haven't had the time to sit down and draw in the last two months so admittedly my skills are all over the place lol. Regardless, I thought I'd share.

This was drawn in pencil and shaded, before I continously used felt tip pen to build layers on the mask, boots and bra to create a leathery texture. I then used Gimp to add her skin colour and to just add some minor shading. I was aiming for a more comic book look than a realistic one here so my emphasis wasn't on making her look too realistic. Skarlet strikes me as a no-holds bared kinda girl, one who's serious about what she does, so in contrast to Mileena I wanted her to look serious and focused.




For Mileena, I started off the same with a line drawing/shading, but used Polychromos pencils to build an underlayer on her leotard first before applying felt tip pen. The whole sketch was outlined in a black biro to add definition (plus I love working with pens and markers). I then just added her skin colour and some last minute shading on Gimp. I wanted her pose to suggest something playful and sexual yet still maintaining an element of danger. Since her eyes give her monstrosity away, I figured the see-through veil wouldn't do her any harm either.



And last but not least, I have the two of them together side by side. Since they're both femme fattales made from sorcery, I figured they might have something in common :)
