Smoke and Sub on the run from the Lin Kuie because they wish not to be turned into cybernetic warriors. This shows that Smoke is sacrificing himself for Sub Zero. The blood makes it look even more painful which increases the respect of Smoke for sacrificing himself. I edited the original Soul Tomb arena and added a few props, then decided to modify the Sub Zero sprite to make it more interesting. I think the render of the tombs looks very eerie, especially the reflection of Smokes blood on the floor.
