The lower body. The waist should be a bit more bulkier. Other than that, ex ept for the hair, a bit more outlining should have been better on ther backs edges perhaps.

Oh, this is brilliance. That is Sonya Blade in that pic. I'm a huge Sonya fan and this drawing is awesome. She looks exactly as she should. The look in her face has that Sonya attitude there along with a tough girl persona which is helped and emphasised more by the pose.

The outfit is simple and I love it for that. it shows off her midrif beautifully. I love the short hair and the headband. She reminds me alot of MK1 Sonya.

The shading is excellent. Her eyes are perfect. The eyes are somewhat alive to an extent and you can see the emotion in her face thanks to the eyes. I love this piece. The coloured version will be amazing.

That is really good. I especially like all of the shading that you did. My only complaint is that it seems to skinny to be Sonya. It seems like you could punch right through her. But the drawing itself is excellent. Good job.

Thank you Aculeus for listening to my petition. Where to start? Everyone has practically said everything I need to say about this pic, but I don’t care, I will go ahead and praise this piece of art anyways.

I love the pose, she has a tough-cool thing going on, fits her character perfectly. The outfit is great, simple, but looks great on Sonya, it reminds me of her Mk4 costume, but she also has a strong resemblance to her MKDA look, because of the hair and face. She looks serious, like someone you never want to mess with (just like in MKDA). The fact that she doesn’t need to wear a lot to look good is a plus, and I love it that you were faithful to her character by not showing anything extra.

The body is excellent, I don’t know why some people cant see her as skinny, in her MKSM render pic, she is practically a super model with that tiny perfect waist, she miraculously managed to stay in feet when it looked like her giant chest were going to make her fall, she looked great in that render, and she was even skinnier then your sketch. I love the body, but I miss the thong and piercing. Even though I know its not something that fits any military chick, it gave her a cool touch, for me the thong made her look sexier (though she doesn’t need it), and the piercing fashionable (though she definitely doesn’t need it), I loved both things.

I cant wait to see this pic colored, and later transformed into one of you amazing bios, being the huge Sonya fan I am, I would love to help you write her bio (that is if you want, and if you ever plan in doing one of course ), seriously man, this is one of your best works.

Is it just me, or does her pose and body shape look very similar to Guile's stance from street fighter? Dont get me wrong, this is the best sonya concept I've ever seen (tied with JAX007's) but I cant help seeing that whenever I look at it.
Her hair is just magnificent, you captured the motion perfectly. However, I would like to see some eyebrows on her, without them she looks a little less feminine.

Queve: I'm glad you dig it man. I definately wanted to stay true to her MK1 look. I'm not sure about the piercing, but the thong might make an appearance in the colored version. If you want to start putting some ideas together for a bio, that would be cool.

fedegita: Yeah, it is somewhat Guilesque... which is OK with me since I wanted her to have kind of a hard-ass look.

I think that you should go with this color scheme (but better obviously):

Make the pants darker than I did also.

Ess89, that is a good color idea for the pic, but I think that we should see something different for Sonya. Green, red, black and gray are her color trademarks, but it seems that besides the obvious (black and gray) only the green has been used.

I think Aculeus should work with the red color instead, she looked amazing in her Mk4 alternate, and I loved it in Mk1, red definitely suits her character, but we cant forget about black of course.

I say leave the green out for this one and play with the rest of the colors. Red would be the best IMO.

And the same thing happened with the piercing during MKSM. I would love to see it, like I said, makes her look classy.

One of the best if not the best Sonya pics I have ever seen. The only thing I see wrong with it is the lack of hips and/or thighs. Shouldn't there be a little more muscle there as well since she is a master of Tae Kwon Do (sp?) and seems to do a lot of kicking attacks? I could be wrong.
As for the six pack abs...finally someone understands that women can get them too without looking too butch. It just means she's tough and can give/take a punch.

Why cant we see the Sonya pic?

BTW, ess89, I forgot to say Sonya has bright blue eyes, not green.
