This comment is based on this picture and the previous one. Needs serious anatomy work. Her face is mostly plastered on. Very little in the way of depth. Both look like rough sketches that are not complete. If that is the case then they are good starts. I like the idea for both pictures but again both need work.

Take it easy

As I said on your other Sonya drawing, it doesn't look like her in the face. Specifically, the lips and mouth. Not really a good choice in expressions, I would have rather seen her with her mouth closed. Her lips appear to be a bit too large to be Sonya's, just a bit. However, I do like the fact you added a facial wound, that was a pretty nice touch. But it needs a little more depth, more muscle features. Her neck is also a bit long, there is a sticky thread at the top of the fan art forum that may help you with anatomy. Its called "The Official Artists' Advice Thread". There are some links in there than may be of some use to you.

As for the outfit, its ok, it could stand a little more color depth but its not drawn bad. But why the MK logo on her belt? It also sort of looks more like a snake, than a dragon. The legs are drawn ok, but they seem to be too large for her body. I do like that you at least tried some lighting, its not so bad.

As for Moloch, the ball looks pretty cool, but the rest of it is a bit too messy to make out the details. It would have been better if you colored that portion of the drawing as well. Anyhow, this isn't a bad starting point, just work with it a little more.

You need to learn how to do faces. Eyes should be near the horizontal axis of the face, matching the ears. Her nose is entirely too big. And the shading/coloring effect looks a lot like the gel effect.

Try perfecting the picture in a specific style first. Then worry about coloring.

ok i'm going to read up a bit on anatomy and faces. There are indeed some good links on that thread.

I was quite pleased with the head to be honest- i`m not really trying to copy exactly any particular game's 3d model, or any of the film's actresses, but i agree my shading is a bit rushed, and the top of the ear if definitely too low- should be level with the eyelids- i should know this- i wear glasses!

It would appear i'm better at drawing men than women. There's probably something psychological in that- depends which `brain` is doing the `seeing` maybe. Also skorpion's mask helps me in drawing the face. smile

I was going to say, "Appears your better at drawing a half a face."
