thanks i always try and make my own life bars in my fakes so that it can have my mark on it really lol i have done it with past fakes maybe this time they didn't really work. What is it about them that you don't like?

Ugh.

Bad:
1) Lifebars should never be that cartoony in a MK game.

2) The background doesn’t flow at all. The water shimmers while the rest of the background is dark? Not feeling it.

3) One spear has appropriate physics, the other does not. The one pulling off CyJax’s arm off is correct, the other doesn’t make sense.

4) The spears themselves are a tad cartoony.

5) CyJax’s outfit isn’t very well made.

6) No shadows.

7) Sub par copy-paste blood.

8) Copy pasted flame effect.

Good:
I guess I like how you edited some of the flame into Scorpion’s skull though, and the idea is not too bad.

Try again.

This isn't a bad fake at all, I think you've put some decent effort into it. Some mistakes to clear up in the future:

> Add shadows
> change scorpion's skin colour back to white
> Dont' have a darkened sky with really bright blue water, doesn't make sense
> Darken the temple so it blends into the background more
> watch out for when you rotate images like Cyrax' arm and scorpion's second spear; on PS they tend to blur so just sharpen them, or recolour so they match with the rest of the sprite

Nothing wrong with copy and paste if it looks good and meshes well. Some parts of this fake are a mixed bag but overall it's good. It's original and interesting. If you think about it, the true MK fakes are only C&P jobs.

Naw he means Cyrax still looks just like Jax only with a few sprite edits.

Well despite all the flaws that were pointed out,i like it overall tho.Why you ask well its because the concept is good,your trying new things with it,an thats what makes it good.Sure there are alot of things wrong but,your gettin there.










*note if the water was a dark blood red with lil recolord cyrax shark fins from his animatiy would help,well to me anyway

I really like the idea of spears coming out of both of Scorpions hands for the fatality. I know it happened in the movie, but it would look awesome in the game.

I would have to agree with everything you said, especially the good, I wasn't expecting that and it's the only thing that flowed wel. Copy and Paste are never good unlike what SOME people would say. ;)

I don't like Cyrax's costume, but I like the way that he was made. Good implemation, but I just don't like the idea. The intestine looks ridiculous. The huge bouncy spear looks ridiculous. Scorpion's flaming head looks ridiculous. But overall, nice job. I'd be proud.
