Everything looks pretty cool, nice effects, but the 'ice molecules' are going towards Sub-Zero instead of away from him.

I think the ice blast should just be flipped around, as I think somebody else said.
I do like this.
+ The thing behind the ice is a face isn't it??? Well, either way, it looks that way to me, lol, but it's a nice touch.
+ The effects are not over excessive, which is great, they are just right grin.

The only thing that I think could use a little more work is the freezing of the pillar. It doesn't look very ice like, I think the transition from the frozen to unfrozen parts of the pillar needs to be a little smoother.

EDIT: Now I found out it's a lighting effect, ignore the last comment, lol.

Other than that, which is really just me, lol, nice job smile.

Great effects! I won't repeat the same again about the some of the details on the blast going toward him.
If he is Testing his might(like it is mentioned in the title), it is totally normal that he is generating his ice powers toward him!!
Am I the only one understanding his work?

Hmmmm, I think it is more the lighting coming from the effect than the frozen pillar!
Oh well I will let The maker explain that!

thats one cool looking pic (pardon the pun). i usually don't like these type of images much but you've approached it differently. overall very nice indeed. no problems that haven't already been mentioned so 4/5
