The suggestions I have made are bolded for reference.

Well, at first glance it doesn't appear to "look" that bad but after some attention to the minuscule details, this appears sloppy in the some areas.

First off, the core elements of the fake, the sprites of course. Not much here, simple editing and enhancing. "Zombie" Liu doesn't even appear even close to being zombie-ish. I suggest showing some sort of decaying going on him and maybe even change a few things to make him appear as he did in MKD. Also, about Kang, on some parts he looks too sharp in contrast with the smooth ice. It looks tacky, in my opinion when two conflicting styles are used on the same sprite or fake. Subby Looks fine. Though it would have been nice to see more editing on Subby, in my opinion. Oh, and If I wanted to I could penalize you for using MK3 Subby in a fake with a MKD character. Am I really that picky? Yes. But, don't worry I won't dock you bad for that in particular.

The background is okay, I guess. It doesn't take too much off of the emphasis of the fake, the sprites themselves, as some fakes may. The reworked clouds are a nice touch as well as the glow in the hole and around the Shadow Priest. Also, some rays of lights entering from the smaller windows were a good idea. However, this background can still be improved and still not take emphasis from the core element.
Improving the background would create an overall more pleasing image. I said the glow from the windows was good, but how come it fades out abruptly? I would have extended some rays or even showed some dynamic lighting in a situation like that. For example the middle of the background and the areas around the small windows would stand out more than the rest of the darker parts of the screen. That would help the emphasis onto the fakes in my opinion. Meh, since I will overlook the fact I hate cheap tricks in terms of effects this once. The effects are a little over the top for an in-game fight, but they are pleasing as still image effects. Maybe, next time try creating more of your own effects if you are using filters and other shortcuts.

I will give you 4/10 since I am not totally blown away or impressed greatly by this work...but it isn’t total trash like other fakes around here.

Though I do think 4/10 is a bit low, I suppose its deserving since I didn't spend that much time on this anyway. And I appreciate your constructive and helpful criticism, I'll bear it in mind if I should do another fake. Thank you.

As for MKD Kang and Sub-Zero, I just wanted to see if I could make a chain, I spent little time on Liu himself, I gave him a few little nicks on his arm and gash in his stomach but they don't seem to be all that visible with the ice effect. I also changed his skin colour to a grey-green but its not noticable either, oh well.

I think I spent more time where i shouldn't have. I spent most of it cutting out the sky background from the original and I did that using a 1px eraser pencil for maximum accuracy (I don't trust the magic wand) but I needn't have bothered when I ended up doing the lighting. Anyway, thanx again.

(Btw, can I see one of your fakes? I havn't been able to find any on this site and I'd really like to see one, I've heard great things about them.)

Wow! That is very good! The sprites are excellent although not too keen on Kai's mushed head, a simple skull probably would have sufficed. The background is good, blood effects look nice, overall its great! Reallly impressive.

Glad you think it looks good because the imperfections and rushed contents of the fake really stand out to me and make me feel as I can do better. Like you, apparently, I spent too much time in the wrong details, I am human, and a perfectionists when it comes to some things. Meh, I really need some motivation or some inspiration to get the drive to make a new fake. Some people have witnessed that lately I can't seem to finish anything. Oh well, maybe I will get over my motivation slump.

I think that's the first time I've seen the bloom effect used in a fake. Props on that, looks nice. The fake is a bit blurry, and should be toned down somewhat. I think this would make a good two-part fake, with the latter showing the following decimation of this one's action.

This is a pretty cool fake. i like the style that you made. Doesn't really look like Zombie Liu, though. Not bad.

This is a great fake to me. I love the effects of the background, I have noticed you tend to use that kind of effects in most of your fakes Keith, and it looks great.

The ice, the mist, all looks excellent. Good job Keith, I really like it. 10/10
