Hey, guys. This was my initial submission for the FPK contest. Needless to say, I was a bit...overzealous. smile But here it is anyway for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the arena and who is the victim?

And how on earth did you pull off such sprite editing?! wow

If I'm not mistaken that looks to be Seth from Street Fighter 4.

Killswitch is correct. That is, indeed, Seth from Street Fighter IV. He made the mistake of trying to assimilate Kenshi's ancestors into his being. grin

Lol. Don't sweat it, guy. As I said, it was my initial submission which means I did in fact enter it into the contest. But it violated too many stipulations so I was forced to start anew. I have a feeling you'll be seeing the 2-D version soon. wink Oh and to further answer your question, blacksaibot, the background is an edited stage called "Volcanic Rim" from Street Fighter IV. To be honest, the "sprties" weren't all that hard to edit. I merely captured gameplay from both respective games and edited out the background. Easy peasy! grin

EDIT: Whoops, didn't read your last post Krypton.
Yeah it certainly looks like most of it was just ripped from gameplay. It's a nice looking fake overall, but there doesn't seem to be much of YOUR own editing going on. Especially when it would have been easy to edit the monster sprite to integrate with the rest of the background rather than just sticking out like a sore thumb the way he does.

The fake looks great regardless of where the sprites came from. They could have passed as 2D and they match the water colored background well. Did you apply some sort of filter to the 3D rips to make them blend in so nicely? (You even fooled BS)

Thanks for the critiques, guys. Ryu, I used the burn/dodge tool in Gimp to slightly blend Seth into the background. However, since MK9's characters are already comparatively dark, there was no need to blend them in.
