The Fall of King Jerrod

Long before the invasion of Earth realm at the hands of Shao Kahn, Edenian people lived in peace and tranquillity, living a life of civility and justice. However, Shao Kahn's quest for power and dominance lead to the downfall of a civilised, once beautiful realm.

Long before the first Mortal Kombat tournament, a near 9000 year old Kitana and her parents proudly ruled over the magnificent Edenia, a realm so prosperous and grand it was used as a trade source for under developed realms, realms such as Seido needed to borrow water from Edenia; however their prosperity and beauty would be their ultimate downfall. On the day of the Edenian full moon, disaster struck and a massive red portal appeared outside of the Edenian castle walls. Queen Sindel and her husband King Jerrod rushed out to the courtyard, surrounded by Outworld militia. The giant army drew in closer but were surprised by The Edenian armed forces, who leapt as out of nowhere and obliterated the Outworld forces. From inside the portal, an arcane laugh was heard, resounding throughout the minds of everyone present. The Emperor of Outworld Shao Kahn stepped through the ethereal barrier and raised his arms as if already in victory. He summoned hundreds more of his army, falling from the sky like hell, descending upon the Edenian cities and slaying the innocents who waited below so terrified.

Kahn then called upon his General, Prince Goro to ransack the castle, who did so with the help of his few Shokan allies. He thrust his way through the masses, throwing Edenian after Edenian into the air, knocking the wind out of their lungs and the blood right out of their bodies. He came to a halt when he approached the King's daughter, Princess Kitana, the two stared down for quite some time. Their eyes up and down each other as if examining before Goro attempted to land the first punch. He was stopped by Sindel however. Her huge mane of hair had wrapped around Goro's arm and left a laceration when it stops coiling around him. She then flung herself towards Goro, kicking and punching him away; he bawled in pain and shoved the Queen out of the way. He then felt a sudden shooting pain in his back and pulled out a giant steel fan. Kitana was standing behind him, twisting the other, ready for assault. All of a sudden, the masses began to part and Shao Kahn made his way through the Outworld heavy crowd. He laughed as he strode, leaking a terrible smile as he did. His sharp, ugly teeth gnawing as his deep red eyes stuck firmly on Kitana. He pushed Goro aside and slapped Sindel, breaking her teeth in the process. Kitana yelled for her father as he struggled his way through the crowd. He used his staff to separate the crowds from himself and defeated the Outworld soldiers who looked to take him out. He rushed towards Kitana and struck Shao Kahn in the back with his staff, shattering it and cracking the lower part of Kahn's helmet. Kahn's unaffected by the blow ordered Goro to restrain Jerrod as he took care of Sindel. He cast Kitana aside for now and pushed Sindel into the quarters of the castle. Only her screams could be heard inside as he raped her. He then emerged, moments later and cheered with the crowd as one of his solider shaded him a knife. He took it to a weak, frail Sindel's neck and looked at Jerrod.

``Which one shall I kill Jerrod, you're wife...or you're daughter.''

``Enough of this Kahn..TAKE ME! Leave them be!''

Kahn looked to hesitate for a moment, drawing the blade away from Sindel's throat before again drawing it and running it across her neck, and stabbing her. She gagged and choked as she fell to the ground, staring at her husband as she faded into death. Kahn's kicked her down and signalled for his war hammer. He took it in his right hand and swung violently into the air, smashing concrete off of the exterior castle wall. Jerrod, crying yelled at Kahn:

``You monster!...I'll Kill You !''

Kahn laughed it off and ran towards Jerrod, swinging his hammer. He smashed Jerrod in the chin and sent him skidding across the ground, collecting dirt as he did it. Jerrod clawed the ground trying to halt his passage but was struck again as he tried to get up. Kahn stood, smashing Jerrod in the back repeatedly until spurts of blood began to appear all over Kahn. His chest was covered with blood and he took off his helmet to reveal his horrid face. With blood at his mouth, he licked his bloody lips and grabbed Kitana.

``WE HAVE IT!''

``The Realms Shall be Mine!!''
