5/10. The background is better then the sprite. Tweak it up a bit.

Hmm, it wasn't as good as you hyped it up to be, but a decent effort nonetheless. The sprite itself isn't bad, but the way you tried to blend the fake in with the bg wasn't pulled off correctly. Next time, when you want to anti-alias your sprite, don't use such a large brush, which I believe is what happened here. Aside from some poor blending, the details on the sprite seem to be washed out, sorta like the sprite itself was saved as JPEG or something. My advice for that is to stray away from the blur brushes and/or smudges and try to create textures manually. By manually I mean using the actual paint brush to paint in the different shades of the texture. This will create a more sharp and more highly detailed outcome on the sprite itself.

Aside from some cosmetic errors, you pulled off MK:A Rain very well, I thought, good job. By the way, my style is still better than yours. =P

All I did was wand the bkg and add a gaussen blur of 10 ( glow parts and shadow possibly ) , and blur more 2 x as well , then click the wand off , mainly thats it , to bad I didn't animate the water , but I can't because then Rain needs to be animated .

Nicely done, the best MKA Rain sprite yet. I think it looks more realistic with the grittier composition. You should make this into a full blown fake
