YES!
Lol, I like this alot.
It definately did remind me of the movie, the arena, Kano, Shang, even Reppy. Excellent background, and nicely executed.

I like what you did with the lifebars as well (MKDA without the centre timer right?). Win marks, win texts, they're all there, good job.
The sprites are superb.
Kano is just like in the movie, as is Shang and Reptile is slightly. I can also see you put alot of thought into it too, the knife being the one from the movie, and the extras like Reptile being on a chain.
The shadows are perfect, and look like they are placed correctly corresponding to a light source.
Jax also looks good, like he's really in pain. I'm pretty sure you placed body parts together, but it turned out really well with him.

The background really did remind me of the movie arenas that were set up. The one on the beach, with the candles/torches. Excellent work there.

The only thing I'm not as keen on, is the blood. The blood from Jax's neck is good, not excessive and nicely done, however the blood on the floor is just the standard game blood, and when mixed with everything else that looks really good, it spoils it, perhaps just a little.

But even then, not enough to ruin the pic. This is a really good fake. Nice job, can't wait until your next smile.

Wow very nice job, your probably the first person I see that try to challenge himself or herself in making a MK Fake Pic base on a actual Mk Movie Part.

The background is cool since you try to focus on the movie although you should of picked a different scenario because it doesn't really look that "Mk-Ish" but you did a good job tho, on trying to make it. Also im seeing a black but very visible outline on ShangTsung seat where you added a black online on the thing that covers him on top.

Nice lifebars, very good choice.

The sprites are cool, I like how Jax actually looks like his in real pain and how you did some actual editing that goes for the Kano sprite very nice details, im actually impress. I like the knife a lot, the blood could use a little bit more careful details. I don't really like the Reptile sprite just a regular mk2 =/. Nice shadows.

Overall you did good, and if you did this in MS Paint then pat yourself on the back because a lot of people use Paint and those fakes come out like crap lol tongue

Hmmm! Well this is certainly nice to see, this is a great fake. The lifebar setup is quite interesting... though perhaps the win tokens could be slightly bigger, but then again, I think they look fine as is.

The BG is simply amazing! I really like it alot. There is so much depth to it, and this looks almost exactly like a scene from the movie. The water has that nice reflction in it, another good touch. The lushly covered mountains are truly a thing of beauty, and they look wonderful in this background. Reptile on a leash is also a nice addition to this. And the fact you changed Shang to make him look younger as he did in the movie was simply flawless, a wonderful idea.

The Kano sprite looks great, very good pose indeed. The knife is also good, good choice to use it instead of Kano's MK3 knife. The Jax sprite is awesome, I really could believe this was an actual pose from a game. The blood on the knife is very cool, as is the blood on Jax's neck. But I think you should have done some of your own editing to that blood on the ground, its really the only part about this I don't like. Shadows look great... this is a first class fake indeed, great job.

Well, thanks to everyone for the feedback. A few quick notes: good call, TimsMK on the life bars. They were indeed the MK:DA bars. As with my last fake (Kabal Vs. Baraka) I wanted to be at least somewhat original with the bars. All too often, I see bars from MK II in an image based in MK3, so I like to keep away from any similarities to one specific game. The Reptile sprite is actually an amalgam of sprites because I was unable to find one in that position that suited my needs. If I were to resubmit this image, as peterbi suggested, I think I would edit Reptile a little further by coloring his arms black like they were in the movie and changing his mask. And Magg1087, you are indeed correct is saying that Reptile was never by Shang Tsung’s side, I added it simply to make the background more alive. I envisioned Reptile scurrying around the arena... I did use mostly paint for this. A few subtle details were done in Photohouse. Mostly coloring (such as the sand and dry blood strewn across the arena floor, matching the colors of Reptiles uniform, etc.) and distant flames. And now, the blood... Well, let’s leave it at this: if I do get around to retooling this, I’ll spend a little more time with it. wink Thanks again.

woooooooooow!!!
I really like the editing on this fake. I like how you used the quote from Kano in the MK movie. If that were a real fatality I think it would go like this:
(screen goes dark)
Kano takes out the knife and says the same quote from the movie. then he takes the knife and slits Jax's throat and says, "It'll put a big smile on you, ear...........to ear." (Kano laughes)

Everything is good and I look forward to seeing more of your editing skills. nice job. I gave it 5 dragons
