I would of preferred Cyber Subby over Cyber Smoke, Smoke has a much more interesting background, being a demon. Noob could've taken over Cyber SZ instead of Smoke which would've made a hell of a lot more sense. Frost could replace SZ as the ice person of the game, Smoke is struggling with controlling the demon inside him, Noob is controlling his brother, Scorpion can move on and develop his own storyline without SZ, Sareena and Jade are trying to get him back and everything is better. And personally i think that SZ and Jade would be the perfect couple.

Okay,so how exactly Sub-Zero and Smoke's original story is inferior to the one you suggested? Because,it is widely known that in the original timeline Sub-Zero has arguably the best storyline of ANY character,but your scenario pretty much makes him another henchman character.

You still can implement Smoke's Enenra storyline even in cyborg form,because Noob wanted to create cyber demons in MKD,so he is the prototype.

The whole point of Frost's character is to show a person who is similar to Sub-Zero,but very different personality wise which is treacherous,aggressive,arrogant and so on unlike Subbie. You would never be able to identify those things if there is no one to compare her to. Yes,she wants to be the Grandmaster of Lin Kuei,but not for the same reasons as Sub-Zero did,so not having him around makes Frost a very dull character.

And Scorpion already had his own storyline going without Sub-Zero since MK Deadly Alliance,I don't think there was an issue.

And how exactly Sub-Zero and Jade are perfect couple? Appearance wise? Because story wise I don't think there was even a proof that they interacted much. (And that would be in MK2,MK3 and MK Deception where they are in the same game and have their own shit to do)

However, I really don't mind what they want to do with their characters. It's their characters, if they want to keep Sub-Zero as a cyborg, I'll be pleased. Change him back to a human, I'll be pleased. I'm just concerned how they would change him back to human, since I most certainly doubt that Noob will come back as a human... unless that Soulnado thing has more power than we know and does something out of the blue.

Although I strongly doubt they'll do something like that with a popular character.
